Title: Big Siege
Post by: Camaris on September 21, 2011, 01:07:14 pm
With the new things you added (forward base weapon rack etc) i would love to see a big siege server.
This server would have new rules:
- round time 20 minutes only one round played per map
- big castles with no installed ladders. Attackers have to use their own siege towers, ladders catapults
- catapults, forward base, siege towers, weapon rack... all have to be enabled
- some huge castles would have to be made for this mod

Sure there has to be some work done by the community (deliver maps etc.) before this would work
and we would need a server (perhaps one of those clanservers and perhaps only open on the weekend so you can get enough players).
But perhaps if we make some community-project out of this it could be huge.

There are already maps done for Strategus that would work very well for that, so no problem there:

In theory, you could use eu siege 5 (no one plays there anyway). Would also be a good way to test these maps.

Maybe it's possible to make the siege-stuff immune to teamattacks?!

+1 from me!
I'd really love to be some kind of engineer =)

Sounds like fun!

Balancing it gonna be difficult but maybe something with flexible spawn times. Like: defenders spawn time gets longer and longer, making it easier to capture the castle as time passes.
