Title: Ban Request: Beep beep I'm a jeep ats

I killed this guy Once in a round and then he left and rejoined, just to get killed by me again.

Not the best of pictures, but If you check the log for this map you'll see that he Died within the first 30seconds, and then was later killed again later. I have the SS's of when I killed him for that round, I wish I had a better way to show that he's on the log twice other than that.

Reason: Exploiting Battle Mechanics to get 2 lives in one round.

I don't understand, you want a ban request for someone who dies quickly to your sword? He is hardly leeching since he got a kill in the second screen shot.

No no no
He died once, and then in the SAME round died again.

AKA: Died, left/rejoined, respawned, died again.

I also notice that if you look at my screen's You can see the Sosarian Knight killing someone in Bottom screen and then in the top screen the green text shows him dieing.

BTW pictures are in reverse order top is the second picture while bottom is the initial picture.

To rejoin and respawn after you died once already. That's exploiting battle mechanics so that you get an unfair advantage.

If you are in a position to rejoin right away, you most likely died without killing ANYONE and were instantly shot from across the map or cav'd from behind. You can't make any major contribution to the team and make the respawn time window. I don't see how this gives any big advantage.

And...Just because you got killed right away means you get to respawn and exploit the system? Yea it sucks, it's happened to everyone, but if it DOES happen, you have to sit out and wait.

Also, he was killed because he was riding a plated charge with farmer clothing trying to lance, and My xbow dropped him fast. It sucks, but you gotta deal with it.

I don't think this is against the rules, I do it all the time if I get killed very early on in the round and I bet most people do too.

If servers/devs didn't want it to happen, they'd lower the time window to spawn in. In the MM Mod it's fucking miniscule, I almost always miss the first round on a new map.

In my honest opinion if this isn't against the rules it should be.

So you died in the first few seconds, quit, come back in and woohoo two lives in one round? DATS CHEATAN.

It is against the rules every time I've been on and an Admin has seen it.

That to me says it IS against the rules, as a warning or kick usually follows when it is caught.

How do yo propose fixing it? Why shouldn't it be against the rules?

So if I'm a shitty player and can't pay enough attention to not get killed by a cav 10 seconds into the round, then I can just leave and rejoin the server, thus giving my team an advantage?

Compared to other multiplayer modules in M&B, cRPG is very, very lenient with how far from the round start you can spawn. Could be server settings, otherwise; I don't claim to know how it works, just that if I don't spawn ridiculously fast in MM or Native, I don't get a chance to. Period (well until the next round). Attacking an issue at it's source makes more sense than going for symptom nullification in my buttdubbly opinion.

It's fucking cheating. Having double the HP in a round is cheating. Nobody else gets 2 lives. Nobody else has 2 chances to get valour. Nobody else has a chance to run down twice as many newbs with a plated charger.

If you die at the beginning of a round to a horse xbow because your fucking plated charger can't deal with anders build then you should have avoided him and tried to gain help from your teammates.

Battle isn't a fucking duel server where you can get multiple tries to kill your enemies. If you die you have to sit out until the round is over. Not our fault if you are a dumb ass and chase a quicker horse with absolutely no armor on against a horse xbow man

This is very officially against the rules.  It has been discussed in the game admin subforum, and falls under the general rules already mentioned in this thread (and relisted below).

There is not an official consensus on the result, as far as I know, but given how few people apparently realize this is a problem, I would give a warning.  I don't know his forum account, or I'd send him one now.  As it is, if you see people doing this, please tell them it is against the rules.

Thanks for the clarification on this matter, cmp.

A 24-hour will be issued for BeepBeep_Im_a_Jeep_ATS and if any exploits like this happen again in the future, they will be dealt with harsher punishments.

BeepBeep_Im_a_Jeep_ATS is allowed to appeal for an early unban if he acknowledges this and writes an unban request.
