Right now bodkins appear the only viable choice for people due to the pierce damage. I have to say I did notice a difference between the two against armour but little difference against weaker opponents.
Anyway the idea is, that in order to make normal arrow types more viable could it be possible for some to switch to pierce damage at the MW level? So for isntance:
1. Barbed Arrows 4 cut as a base damage --> Large 4 cut --> Sharp 5 cut --> MW 2 pierce
Bodkins are hellishly expensive to use and so I just thought it would be nice way of switching arrows to pierce after a certain level of heirlooming which would also make those arrow types more viable in the long run.
Bearing in mind this wouldn't benefit me for a while because I don't have any arrows loomed.

i think if you want more dmg-then pay more gold and use bodkins.

What's the difference between selling an heirloom point to earn more gold to use bodkins and getting barbs to the MW level which is only the first level of bodkins? It's the same thing really. But I'd feel like I'd actually achieved something with the Barbs and then they'd only be as good as normal bodkins but would be cheaper.

and if some1 dont want retire any more, he cant send loom points, so he must decided- dmg or gold. it is right i think

So all the guys using Horn bow and Rus Bow pre-patch weren't effective? :lol:

Of course they were. But this is post patch. And it makes a lot of sense for most archers to take bodkins now. I doubt we will see many of the other arrow types around now. This isn't so much to do with effectiveness, but to do with making the other arrow types a better/more diverse choice.

High damage cut and decent amount of ammo for a decent price. Go with tatar arrows. Want to bring down tanks? Splash the cash on bodkins. If horse archers have the possibility to get pierce damage from horseback again, like they have now, there should be a significant drawback to it, and that drawback is price (and some fewer arrows). I like it. :)

Money isn't even a big deal now, just sell an heirloom point after a week's grinding and you're good to go.
