Title: Auto Update, and Installer package.
Post by: The_Devious_Duc_Volpe on September 20, 2011, 02:32:27 pm
Why does this game not have an installer? Pretty sure its fairly easy to borrow some cookie cutter code that will install whatever you want. Also, why does this game  not have an auto update feature? Would that not improve the over all experience of the game not having to go hunt down files, and then having to delete folders, save things, copy things ect. ect.?

I think steam is best for update/download.

Im talking about the cRPG module though. Steam automatically updates Warband yes....but what about the mod itself? Why has there not been some kind of auto updater or at least auto check, to make sure your client is up to date?

Next time, let's all have fun searching for the good download link of new version/hotfixes instead of simply taking it on the first page of Announcements. It's too easy, we want a challenge. Put it in Spam section for example.

Lazy is not the issue.  The issue is NOT playtesting releases, documenting changes and releasing 4-5 patches within 3 days
