NA Siege Community is just about dead. Populations have dropped noticeably.
In my opinion, it's the map rotation on NA Siege Community that's killing it. I LOVE siege but can hardly bring myself to play through that same small collection of mostly awful, unbalanced maps anymore.
I could play on EU, but... eh... pings....
Who can change the maps? Was he one of the people caught hiking in Iran? Are we ever going to hear from him again? How long until Ahmadinnerjacket releases him? Can we appeal to the Iranian embassy or something?
Is there not some other NA server running siege, or that could be switched to siege, with admins and better maps that we can play on until the NA Community Siege guy gets released?

We should start a movement and use these martyrs as symbols of hope.

Remove community siege, play official NA siege (it has good maps)

Reasons not to play siege, lets see.....
* You get less xp/gold in siege. (no valour)
* Doors are broken and have almost no hit points on the first round of every map.
* There aren't as many skilled players as on battle.
* Most siege maps aren't well thought out, and are heavily 1 sided.

You have to seed servers with players before it will not be empty. Try moving 6 or 8 people from the server you don't like.

siege is a good place for newer players to get accustomed to the game before they move on to battle

Really not all that surprising it's dead when you had an admin that was more interested in stroking his ego in banning "offensive" names than correcting the map rotation or anything else on the server.

The server used to have a lot of maps in rotation but now it's been pared down to a small number of maps that mostly favor attackers when the server population is low. Plus, from playing the same small number of maps over and over again, people have gotten really good at using ladders to bypass defenses. So if you're attacking now it's a lot easier to get x5's and less fun for people who get stuck on defense map after map.
So who handles the map rotation for the official NA siege? There's not a sticky thread for map listings and submissions yet in the scene editing section. I think if they started with the maps that EU siege currently has in rotation and then added and modified new ones on a regular basis it might make the official server worth trying out.

It (NA2 siege) needs to be reset. Because nobody uses it, it doesnt really get reset. last time a bunch of my clan and I were there the lag was horrendous because of it.
