rain and night :l and of course fog. please §:°
-
I do miss fog... :(
Heavy snow plus fog made for some great memories.
-
Haha, while I hate rain and fog as a crossbower, I love it as a player.

fog/sandstorm is great, rain/snow on the other hand not much fun for anyone

Meh, I always liked snow and fog, and never did mind rain, always said so.

people complained when crpg servers had rain/fog, i guess thats why it was removed
-
It wasn't so much that it was there. It was just for some reason a huge amount of the time you played it was raining. Which makes 0 sense. It should be the other way around. Mostly ok weather, rains/snows sometimes.
-
+1 for fog (you can still see enemy swings without problem and some ninja action is fun)
-1 for rain and night (not good for eyes at all)
-
Oh I agree, it did rain too much. It would be nice if they brought it back but made it rather rare, or have "Rainy Mondays" or some such thing.
Mainly though I miss heavy fog.

Heavy fog was pretty cool sometimes :)

Fog/rain is disabled by mistake. It will be enabled again.
-
The rains gone until dave is back.
-
Rain and fog I never really cared for as I saw them way to often. It should be more of a rare thing as opposed to what sometimes seemed 50% of the time.
-
Will never miss night time, it was pointless and just strained the eyes at times, you could still see a black clothed ninja from a mile away, it really didn't add any kind of camoflague, just made the game ugly as hell.
But yeah, fog and rain were fine with me, just make them less occuring.

:° thanks

And night time, obviously.
-
Fog is awesome. Rain is fine. Night I hate since I don't find playing blind fun. And no I'm not going to turn up my gamma every time it's night.

I always nearly get blind because of bright banners making my eyes bleed when everything else is dark :(
-
night time with sun glare coming through the window (even through the curtains) made for some very painful sessions of play

Night time force us to live in the dark with the curten closed...
-
I like fog and rain, but I hate night.
-
Same. Night time is painful. I like fog the best.

Couldn't you close the window? :|
-
Yup night is not needed. It's the same issue dark places on minecraft have. Even a cloudy day causes so much glare you can't see what you are doing.
Couldn't you close the window? :|
Some of us like day light. I have a nice view across Brighton from the top of a hill that has to disappear when crpg is in night mode because I have to close my curtains.
-

Cant tell if trolling lol ? either light still comes through a closed window or u didnt see the "even through curtains" bit :P but i have blinds anyway which are really shit for keeping out light

Cmpx lives in a basement with no windows, Chase. There he codes day in and day out with the other c-RPG devs. So it would follow that he is not very familiar with windows and how they work. Much less daylight.

You make mistakes!? Damn, 2012 people... closin' in.
-
We definitely need those back to improve the overall immersion.
Possible to add snow as well? On the snowy maps.
-
I want the rock on a stick back.
-
Oh so it was a mistake after all, I was wondering if my game had bugged for lifetime.
Thank god it is coming back again, this cav/range fest needs to wake up for reality.

I have never had more fun playing this game, than playing while it was disabled. This is terrible news. :|

I can't think of a witty reply so I'll just go for 1 week ban.
-
pwned
-
rain and fog gives a penalty to ranged accuracy... so it's captain obvious why some people hate bad weather.

soon we'll have maps with a nice and bright neon instead the sun.
who cries about night time, should tick the auto exposure feature in the options video section (game options... inside the game not the launcher).
doesn't help if you want to play cRPG on the beach with your notebook and the july 13 o'clock sun.

What if I help you with a reply? We can work something out in PMs, you'll look super witty, honest.
-
Fog and rain are ok, but night time isn't healthy for ours eyes.
-
Rain made agi builds easier to hit.
-
if you struggle with night, DX7 everything in commodore64 mode! xD
The way I always played..

This game looks like shit even when everything is maxed in DX9. Why would I play it in DX7?

You have really high standards. But you're never pleased with anything as I've seen on the forums.

This makes me suspicious of your screen resolution...

well a 2003 engine updated with shaders, hdr, auto exposure, antialiasing, anisotropic, that runs smooth on a decent rig with 150 players...
i'd say one of the best indie graphic engines so far (because armagan and his wife programmed the 3d engine from scratch... just them.)
Electronic Arts instead fields zillions of software engineers to bring photorealism to the games, but the games they make really sucks.
EDIT:
and btw the graphics don't suck at 1680 with 4x AA and 16x AF with all maxed. and the blood mod is really a nice boost in eyecandy.

Fuck it. I play it on DX9 with lowest settings (pluss particle effects) and it still looks good to me. Better than what a lot of Ubisoft, and even some of what EA, has put out. Only new game I've seen lately that is good and runs like a charm on anything is Deus Ex: HR. Awesome tech behind the game there too. But Armagan wins though, since he's also an Indie developer. Mad skills on that guy.
