ok so since this game is based on teamwork as well as a RPG mod i think it would be fair to give exp for kills and for an assisted kill. both are rewarded for working together and taking the enemy down. this would make the game a bit more fun and exciting.
archer shoots a man and he gets away but dies to a cav or when 2 v 1 in a sword fight kills the 1. they both are rewarded.
it would also be excellent to add a counter on the scoreboard for assists !
im not saying remove multiplier, just toss a little exp to the guys working together killing the enemy team.

No. It works just fine the way it is.
The only thing I want to see with assists is a "assist" tab on the scoreboard, because k/d alone really doesn't showcase a combatant. There are plenty of underrated combatants who don't get any credit.

Someone seems to be lobbying heavy changes in distribution of experience and gold, and using TEAMWORK as slogan, in this case.

What does assisted kill mean? Whoever gets the second to last hit? Again there is no reward for kills because it would lead to more reckless killing and therefore more kills.
Edit: Tim just said he got 7 kills in teamspeak, he already has 216k gold. Do you think he needs more?

I voted yes. Reason? I had several times tough fights with the enemy and it was pretty much 1v1 me vs the enemy.
Had inflicted enough damage to know that the next blow would be death for the enemy. And what happens? Ofc my teammates who were close but didn't do anything before runs in and snatches the kill with a quick slash.

What does assisted kill mean? Whoever gets the second to last hit? Again there is no reward for kills because it would lead to more reckless killing and therefore more kills.
I define it using the same way Battlefield does it.
If you deal the bulk of the damage to the opponent, you get an assist point on the scoreboard.
So if 2 guys are whaling on one guy, and attacker1 deals 51% damage, and attacker2 kills him, attacker1 gets an assist.
If 3 guys are whaling on the the same guy, and 2 guys deal 33% damage and the third guy drops him, the first two get an assist.
If 3 guys are attacking and attacker1 deals 10% damage and attacker 2 does 87% damage and attacker3 kills him, only attacker2 gets the point.

It's not entirely fair to peasants, but it gives them more of a chance of being recognized (2v1) than they do now (0%)

no dunecat. not heavy changes. not 5,000,000 exp for 100 kills not 1000 exp. just something to make it a bit more exciting. 50? 100?
i think it would add another layer back into the game.

Having an assist would do a lot to really credit who does it then dextaa, but i am still against the xp bonus to anything.

Simply put, no.
Rewarding kills is not going to make any good, people would just go all frag hunting, killing friends in the process, not caring about protecting others, help them, just kill...that would not be cool, i like how now tactics gets to place, with rewarding killing this would be killed again.
I feel almost as good when i serve a horseman by killing horse to other people to kill him than i like killing. Why should not i be rewarded for warning my friend and saving his life, killing horse or something?

In this game there are many many ways to assist your allies without doing damage at all. Hold out against a superior enemy or group until your allies regroup/gang him/kill everyone else. Scatter the enemy so your team can steamroll them. Etc.
The assumtion that someone who does 8 slashes is more skilled or a greater asset to the team than someone who does only 2 is just as naive as that someone with 0 kills is worse than someone with 3. Sometimes that's the case, sometimes not. Regardless, a good player will have the moments where he can shine eventually, because he's good. If it came to me I'd actually remove the scoreboard because it does distract me from teamplay often.
Given how spam happy everyone is I also see no need for further encouragement to slash at enemies. So an assist counter, yes, if possible, but rewards for hitting an enemy, no.
And when we are pointing out mistakes in English ... it's who taught you to speak.

Anyways, yeah, i copypasted all cause this post is full of the same crap as the one before. And i certainly know, how to kill, but i do not need to brag about my 4:1 KD on some maps, as on others, i am the one assisting, not finishing :P
Imagine, how hard it would be to code anything with the assist in the game, i am no programmer or anything, but i think it might be quite problematic.
If you start awarding killing blows, you WILL kill teamwork. Period. About the assist, same stuff, same story.

anyways this mod is still in beta. things are changing every other patch. obviously the votes count and people do agree with me. this is still beta so i wouldnt be so sure of myself if i were you cepeshi.

I have stated getting bonus would kill teamwork, as people would start hunting frags...and how can i reply?

I would really like to see assists implemented in the scoreboard. As a shielder, lately I'm lucky to get hits let alone kills because most people just gang up on me. And I encounter lots of that 'allies rush in' bs, where you do the work laying on up to 5/6 hits and someone else gets your point for their score because they swoop in at the last second and land one hit.

If someone kills a guy that i have hit 5-6 times, well that's good, the guy is dead and i can attack another one. I don't care if he gets a +1 to scoreboard, but i care to win the round. To resume i don't care who got the biggest e-peen... That's for tards and kiddo...
Also we win a lot of xp and gold with new system, xp on k/d is useless and will make the game less teamwork. The system was change in this way, why coming back to the old system when ppl were tking to have one kill, and acting like selfish moron.
Thx to chadz and dev team for the improvement of gameplay, this guys have a general view of players behaviour and game mechanics that we don't have as players.

Tkers get punished by kicks and bans, both from polls(sometimes) and from admins(usually).
Teamwork gets you a higher multiplier, try doing that for a change.

kicks and bans huh? not every teamkiller gets punished. this will help punish EVERYONE accident or asshole.
and what if teamwork didnt get you a higher multiplier? what if your great teamwork wasnt good enough? this will benefit those that did kill or help kill their enemy team.

i think something like teamvork counter on scoreboard would be good the counter counts every strike/shot on enemy and "helping" like shooting catapults, making siege shields, ladders and so on.

It's always kind of funny to see when you are fighting against 2 people and some allies come to help you.
Often all will swarm the guy you slashed thrice and let you fight the uninjured alone. :lol:
