Title: Character Type Autobalance
Post by: clown1231 on September 13, 2011, 12:38:45 am
I have seen many times where complaints have been made on one team having too many archers or cavalry, and I actually have thought of a solution.

Through the settings menu, you can set your character as a certain type, such as archer and cavalry. When auto balance occurs, an equal number of every class go to each team. If your character is not set to a Type, then he/she is automatically asked to set one. Until then, they are balanced in an undefined type. The only problem I see with this is that people can set to be what they are not, or that the majority of players do not set their type.

Thoughts on this?

it was proposed a long time ago but i dont think it would work , especially if you let the player choose ... ,

The game should see what kind of char you have and adjust accordingly

Sadly not on the ToDo List

I have been thinking about posting this for some time, but you beat me to it. I must say this would make the game more fun, and would stop rage at archery that it's OP when in fact it's the number of it . So +1.

If players could choose, then it wouldnt work, but if server would recognise you as a cav if you have equiped horse, as an archer if you have bow an so on

It makes sense practically. Would that type of class balance take precedence over banner balance?
