What in the hell is going on with these armies growing exponentially.....some people have figured out a troop hack......

the army in question is locked down by an enemy, devs are aware of the issue, i think its something to do with -% of troops deserting due to upkeep, thus the overall number of troops increases.

Lolwut? So instead of LOSING people to desertion you GAIN them? xD No wonder they locked down strat xD
