it was, once again, changed:
from:
Troops*2.5 per day
to
(Troops^1.02)*1.5-100 per day
tomorrow, we'll bring a grand new feature that should spice the current strategus up a lot and allow for both unclanned and clanned people to have more (fun) things to do... and fief owners can tax it, too!

so this applies only to troops outside a fief owned by the faction? upkeep fro troops in an owned fief still = 1/ troop/ day?

in a fief (as in, you put the troops in the fief) it's 0.5 and without the (-100)

but nice change. Since you and the devs are doing changes every other day or so it seems, have you thought about doing a sticky for a thread containing just changes and what not? That way it doesn't get knocked down by random topics?
Might be an easy way to keep changes, reverts, etc. posted for everyone to see.

So chadz instead of you coding the new caravan, how about making a few bandit hideouts as well ?
Unconquerable ones, battle to start on the fly or 1 hour later or so ?
Suggestion is that if u attack u can get from 10 % more ppl against you to -10 % of the army attacking it. Random weapons and random armor. Or even better player based equipment for those that apply. apply for defense with 2h/1h/archer/xbower and such. Then a 3-4 hour timer for the next attack can occur.
This wont take longer then coding the caravans :D

On the surface, I really like the compromise on the formula for troop upkeep. Just estimating from what I saw with the Troops * 2.5 upkeep versus the gold income rates... this makes a little more sense. I'm hoping it plays out well in action.
