Is the Longsword going to receive a buff or Heavy Bastard a nerf at some point? The heavy bastard is basically just as good for 1000 less... I really don't want to sink my heirloom into the Heavy Bastard if it will change somehow. Should one be changed?

You pay for superiority. Check simple sword and sword, 900 for 1 more cut and pierce.

Why do people feel that every sword should be unique in damage??? I for one think that more items with the same stats should be added. Instead of all these "nerf this buff that"

yea agree more items with the same stats, or more versions of the same weapon ->heavy long sword , long sword.... and what you want...
