Title: Why is everyone playing on eu_crpg 5 or 6...
Post by: zagibu on January 24, 2011, 11:53:16 pm
...when there is a much better server with new maps: EU_cRPG_4_siege? It has 120 slots and used to be quite populated a week ago, but in the last 3 days, it has never gotten above 20 players. Why? I am bored by the native maps, but < 20 players is really not much fun.

Because all the Eu_4 servers are filled/run by Pecores.

Wrong question buddy.

Question is: Why the fuck are so many retarted dumbfucks playing siege?

Teammates tend to defend every god damm brick but not the objective - the fucking flag -

If u get lucky, your own faction is in ur team in large numbers + some Shogunate/Drz/some of the ninjas, not all -  it might be fun.

Ofc not when u defend one of these poorly balanced shit castles.

Eu 5 and 6 has better "server rules" the pecores servers are wierd.

So you value clear server rules higher than map diversity?

Well, some of the custom maps suck (balance wise).

Well, they are all better (balance wise) than the Desert Castle with the breakable door right in front of the attackers spawn.

The swadian style custom map with siege tower to the left, a ladder on the right into a hole and a breakable door on the backside is really crappy. The idea of the castle is good but there are too many flaws.
There are too many trees (laggy), an invisble wall in front of the breakable door, you can get stuck at flag point at the cart, the entrance at the siege tower is stucky and the house at the hole lags like hell (maybe due trees and other useless objects).

P.S. The others are a nice diversion!

you are complaining about peoples taste. If they like the servers, you can't say that they are wrong. They just enjoy it moar.

But on EUcRPG4, the new maps are IN ADDITION to the regular ones. You can't really tell me that you don't like diversity, do you? Also, to all those who complain about the balance of the maps: fix them. Host the map and edit it, then repost it.

The first players probably join 5 or 6, then the other people that come on to play join the servers with players in, no one's going to join an empty server when there are populated servers.

I also think the server kept having issues before with lagginess and the combat speed was different, so I guess it put some players off at the time and they now just join EU 5 or 6 and everyone else follows them after.

It was populated again, today. Great fun. We even managed to build some healing tents, although they didn't last long...
