I would really like to see duel wielding implemented in to CRPG, not because it is cool but because it was a way of combat back in that time era. The way it would work would be like the way horse archery works, every 6 points you would get a duel wield point it takes 1 point to start duel wielding. It would require agility to get the points. There would be no duel wield WPF you would just put the points in one handed swords. Now the ONLY weapons you can use 1 handed weapons such as the Grosse Messer or the Side Sword, you CAN’T use weapons such as the long sword or the morning star. Now to make sure this does not become over powered you can only attack in one direction at a time. Your off hand weapon will strike last, so people who block really fast then let go will be getting a weapon smashed in there face. The attacks would be kind of like this.
Top                  ||
Left                           //
Right    \\
Thrust              ..
Point is blades would be attacking the same way now for blocking, the easiest way to block would be making an X then when struck one of the blades moves to push the attackers blade off.
Top                  X
Left                          X
Right     X
Bottom           X
You can also parry!
And to people who do not think is worth it then think of this. You are using 2 warhammer’s you knock a guy down and as he is getting up the second warhammer comes by and knocks him down again. The only thing that needs to be done is the animations for it and how the slot system will work for duel wielding.
Thank you for taking your time to read this Suggestion. Please feel free to leave more suggestions and or tweaks!  :D

Dual wielding was never used.
However, we found sources showing the use of triple wielding, which will be added via WSE asap.

Never say never :D

Archaeologists haven't probably found the evidence yet! I'm sure there were thousands of thousands of dual wielding axe/sword users back in the medieval times!

Don't forget the Huscarlr axe fighting style, which involved the use of two axes of great heft in either hand, allowing the user to perform incredible acrobatics and show off his combat prowess while breaking his wrists and being constantly left open to attack.

This school of axe fighting didn't survive very long, all the teachers died before they could pass on their techniques.

Bad suggestion imho, spamming with 1 weapon is enuff, spamming with 2 weapons is just to op.
Consider adding fatigue effect and shield bashing instead when WSE implemented  .
It would put an end on 7/24 spamming, delaying archers and shield bash with maybe a polestun effect should be really fun and balanced since it removes shitloads of points from your fatigue bar so you cant spam bashing, and it wont be op since it's range is too short and it'll create opportunities to 1handers and it'll add moar fun.

Orly? i wasnt aware dual wielding was EVER used in the field of battle as standard equipment, i guess you are referring to forgotten civilizations that didnt know how to throw rocks, never invented any type of ranged weapon, and loved running face first into spears. nuf said

Yes i could see dual-wielding or something along those lines if it was not to OP

Duel wielding is already in. You can start a duel while wielding a weapon on a duel server.

About dual wielding.. This (http://forums.taleworlds.com/index.php/topic,84267.msg2174382.html#msg2174382) is how a dual wielding suggestion looks like. But that was like 2 years ago.

Not that I want to the dev team to spend time on dual wielding instead of better things, but my response to this in defense of adding dual-wielding would be that if the mechanics were done right (realistically), it would end up being ineffective on the battlefield, but become an interest to some on the duel servers.

Add a shield that looks like a sword. Very fast, fastest shield in the game, high armour, moderate health but impossible to catch arrows on it :)

If you put the coverage too low it wont block melee hits either.

pretty neat idea, basically like a very thin/long buckler.

i can think of dirks being used in offhand but how many warriors would start the battle with a sword and dirk when they could take sword and shield is the point i think

personally i dont see the point but i also dont see why crpg cant have dual wield for fun
