boss battles? i dunno how it would work but it would be cool (or horrible, it could go either way).

opinions on it?

Mutant mode


Someone is picked randomly and is the mutant. The char gets +18 str +18 agi and +6 in every skill apart HA that goes +3. If an other player kills the mutant, the round ends and the player that killed the mutant become the next one. Otherwise it's like deathmatch. Players are free to kill each other but won't win any reward by doing it. It is only useful if they think they have better chances to become the mutant by doing that.

Normal upkeep, x1 when you are not the mutant and x5 when you are.

Could be fun.  I do like the Rabbit mode and this sounds alot like Rabbit actually except there's no 'beef up' bonuses in Rabbit and you have to carry a flag which slows you down (which is probably a good thing so you don't just get to run forever at x5).

I like the idea a lot, but the upkeep thing would suck. I envision it as a mode where the really good players would just roflstomp everyone as the mutant. Maybe add a multiplier when the mutant is killed, and then you are reset it x1 when you die. If you don't damage the mutant in 10 minutes you loose a multiplier(To prevent people just getting x5 and leeching). When you're the mutant you get the regular tick from x5 every time you kill someone.

Oh yeah you'd definitely have to reset.  The way Rabbit works is that you only get x5 as long as you have the flag.  I'm sure it'd need to be the same for Mutant; i.e. only have x5 for as long as you remain the mutant / boss.  Soon as you die, you're back to x1.

Also the upkeep would not be bad at all.  Usually matches like Rabbit & Deathmatch have much longer battle timers, so you end up way less repairs.

We already have boss battles, Georges and other tin cans.

Would be fun as Kafein proposed it, only the mutant should also become twice as large. Swinging a huge weapon will having tiny arrows sticking out of his eye. I can see it now, it's wonderful!

This is basically like the Jedi Hunted mode in JK2.  1 person was randomly selected to be the Jedi and everyone else was normal.  Jedi gets 1 point each time he kills a normal and whomever kills him gets 3-5 points and then becomes the Jedi.

For cRPG we could change it to 'Black Knight' and put them in black armor with whatever weapons they want (no slot restrictions possibly).
Normals have x1 and you instantly goto x5 as Black Knight.  If you fail to get a kill within a minute being the Black Knight it goes back down to x1 and will then increase by 1 every time you get a kill.

Maps should be small - medium in size and no camping spots.

Last possibility is to let the 'Black Knight' person select from a few predetermined villain type characters.

Viking Marauder
Zulu Headhunter
Evil Robin Hood (black goatee)
Guy with scimitar from Indiana Jones
Executioner
Faceless Samurai Golem thingy from Dragon:Bruce Lee story
