Polearm: minimum
Military Scythe 2036 + Wooden Shield 602 = 2638
2h: minimum
Shortened Military Scythe 2032 + Wooden Shield 602 = 2634
1h: minimum
Nordic Sword 2444 + Kite Shield 3052 = 5496
AI and Human generals buy mostly level 2 shields which are not very useful for combat. 1h cost most and kill less. Small shields without force field dont protect from ranged, which get by far most kills.
I see here an unbalance. Solution I see in force field, half the price for 1h/shield in Strategus or at least for shields that AI or Humans start to buy melee shields and not only ant-ranged shields.
