We need more admins. Official EU Admins for the official servers and site admin stuff (name changes etc.).

Old thread is old and cluttered with tons of unnecessary stuff. In this thread only applications of people willing to become admins are allowed. No comment posts, just applications, or you will get muted. You can use the post rating buttons in the header area of each post to show your support to an applicant.

Only requirement for admins is good enough English skill. Admins need to communicate with the community and the admin team. IRC usage is also a semi-strong positive, makes communication easier. Admin experience from other cRPG servers or somewhere else might also be considered a good thing.

Hello
I want to apply for the post of admin for the official EU servers.

Why would you wanna hire me? Well, you already know the drawbacks, so I wanna point out that:
-I know the rules of the game
-Im' used to the admin interface, both ingame and on the webpage.
-I know the EU community fairly well
-I'm in a clan with two other admins who could tutor me on how to admin
-I'm an active player, who are willing to spend the time required to make sure my admin decisions are fair and unbiased
-I don't let fractions and clans cloud my judgements, leading to unbiased admin decision based on their actions and not their clan-memberships
-I have a lot of administration-experience fram games like minecraft, c-rpg, as head or officer of clans in games like world of wanker... err warcraft, Age Of Conan and so on.
-Im already a  beta tester and is one of the most active people on both IRC-channels.
-Ive had over 150 people voting for me to stay as EU admin three times.
-You guys knows what you get, no surprises.
-I will follow the guidelines for administration, and not my own views on how to admin.

I would like to apply for an admin position again. I believe that I possess the necessary understanding of the cRPG rules after administrating the former Shogunate cRPG server for a couple of months and I consider myself to be an active player.

EDIT: I feel my post is a bit too bare so I'll add some other information which might be useful: I have played cRPG for over a year and I have rarely caused troubles for either the players or the admins. I am fluent in English and Spanish and I can manage a bit of German. I am active in IRC and can also be reached through others means if necessary. I have past experience as a forum moderator and as a clan officer, I was also an admin for several private Ragnarok Online servers.

I´d like to apply. Since chadz is in "big love" with our Clan^^ I´d like to show him the opposite. That most of our members can take responsibility and are a big help for the community. I´m owner of Nditions Duel Server (Native) and Nditions Multi Clan Teamspeak since more than one year. Also Admin on the old Shogunate cRPG Servers, active cRPG player since the beginning under the Nick  Hardsteppa.

I'll submit an application.

I'd like to start off by saying that I've never been an admin before, but I believe I'd make a fairly good one. Been playing cRPG since last August, I think.
I'm calm, level-headed, fair and generally a nice guy. I usually play on EU_1 but I play occasionally on the siege servers aswell. And I'm frequently on the duel server.
I speak Finnish, Swedish and English fluently and also some conversational German.
I've never gotten in trouble with any of the admins, and I think most of them know me.
I'm also quite frequently on IRC.
Basically, if you pick me, I believe you wouldn't regret it.

Also im a pretty active member after all!

Although I am sometimes known to be trolling, I belive that reasonable management of the EU servers is possible with certain people who know when it's gone too far. Sure I like to have fun and sure I may sometimes seem reckless, but when it comes to serious business I am very decisive and correct and several people can confirm that. Having a mild sense of humor is always good, since so far I've either seen admins being too harsh or not doing anything at all. I belive in a simple rule of punishing people - a strict Warn - Kick - Warn - Ban for every problematic player. A lot of admins nowdays are developing their own kind of "good cop" and "bad cop" personalities and they often stand out of the community. I myself was banned once for TKing, I'm not "innocent" but I understand the principles of managing a server since I was an admin on the Shogunate servers for a long time. I belive myself to be a good candidate for the position. Please vote or downvote, sine ira et studio.

EDIT :
-I can speak english, german, a little bit of french, and also croatian (a lot of people who speak that language and its similars, trust me ).
-played cRPG for quite a bit
-been an officer and leader for a long time, helped honing the rowdiest ragtag group of people into a fairly decent and effective clan (shogunate/byzantium)

Well figured I may as well give this a try!

I've admined for a tournament in the past. BFE-WaW to be precise. Was an admin on their servers for around a year in Battlefield 1942 Forgotten Hope mod when they had a player base of around 300-400 active players.

I respect the work that admins do and know that the job can be tough and decisions can be tougher. Especially when you get people whining endlessly at you. I believe that it is also best to have as many good admins as possible, and whilst there are some good admins on the EU servers, there are far to often periods of play where there are no admins at all on the servers.

I see the job as admin as that of acting as a neutral party. Although it is not always easy not to, you have to put personal feelings aside and act according to the rules, even if it's your best mate you're banning. You need a detachment from peoples insulting and you must remain level headed.

I am active on the servers and so can be there frequently to admin. Although I can be a little outspoken on the forums I've never had any real run ins with admins on the servers and have kept a clean record.

I'm officially posting my admin application

I can speak English well enough to follow the rules of cRPG and warn players to do so. I know the rules of cRPG and EU servers. I got good references about my administration in GTA Online SA-MP servers. I like to work on people's problems and help them solving those. I'm fair and treat everyone equally. I've been playing the game since this january. I'm sure I can take the responsibility of being an admin in EU servers. I will also co-operate with other EU server admins when necessary in order to improve myself

Well I also want to apply for an admin position.

I think many people know me so I'm at least no unknown person applying for important stuff.

I play cRPG quite much, especially in the morning and night time, when uni starts again and what I have experienced over the last months is, that there is a big lack of admins during that time, but a high amount of people teamkilling/teamwounding, delaying the game, using bugs or whatever.
I really like the game and I hate it when people destroy it due to such behaviour.

As far as I know there have never been any banrequests against me on forums and I've never been banned by any admin because except for some 5 minutes trolling every few weeks, I stick to the rules of the game and I just want to shoot people :D

Usually I already check what people are doing when I'm dead or spectating and then I report them to admins because I really don't like it. But it would be much easier if I could handle things on my own.

I think I would make a good admin and I would really like to make this game better :)


Just to make it sure, after I had a talk to someone who misunderstood my application. I want to make sure people have fun and I wouldn't kick/ban everyone after 1 or 2 missteps^^
What I mean is that I want to make sure people are not constantly teamkilling or going to unreachable places or stuff.
I know everyone sometimes has his 5 minutes in which he likes to bother his clanmates ;)

Arked reporting for duty. I would like to make the game more enjoyable for players on public servers. Im currently studying, that means i have plenty of free time. I try to be active on forum (take a look @ Alternative Bannerpack), have experience with administrating Warband servers, forum managament (especially smf based), mapmaking (some of my maps are on official servers). No history of bans, never warned ingame/forum. I think i could fit into admin team.

Every Admin as far i have seen it over the last year has another take on administrating.

For me it is relevant that players nolifers like me or casual players, new players who just joined the community, all of them can enjoy this game and aren't disturbed while doing it.

If decided on me and given the following task, i would first invest my time to work on the often wanted List/catalog of punishments to different kind of offenses, because as i see it as well, that a lot of hustle came through the players found themselves felt treated unfairly. So my goal would be, led by proportion and fairness to establish a hopefully more clear set on ground rules.

The only thing i might act a bit more harshly is when one of my own Members of the Wolves Pack Mercenaries are involved through rule breaking. That is not because i want to be unfair against them, but i want to hold them to the highest standards and not to give the impression those guys get away only because i know them. I am aware that within my members are some who forget about rules from time to time and as they know me, they know better then to give me crap.

I guess i would most likely act like
0. statement in general
1. warning player
2. warning player
3. kick player
4. ban player

Depending on severity (often/intensity/repeatingly/first timer/ fill in more here) and the catalog which i spoke of, steps 0-3 are optional and ban if it is in my eyes no other option left to me through the players actions.
Cause and Effect. If you get punished, in most cases you had it coming, that is how Karma works.

It doesn't exclude me making mistakes, if you can deliver evidence or logic reasoning, i am willing to listen, if you can't make me change my mind and you truly didn't do anything wrong than you would be hopefully one of the few who got unfairly punished and i apologize here now for every case where that would happen, as it is not my wish to harm anyone.

Hello, my name is André, I'm 26 years old, and I'm from Portugal.

Most of you might know me in-game as koldborn (was Kaldralinn Hrafninn for a while , which is written in Old Norse), and other nicknames from my never-ending alt list.

I step once more forward, in order to make more clear my intentions towards this so loved/hated mod, which are only good intention, not just regarding a possible Administration position (the main part of this thread) but also any other possible position or requirement of my e-person towards the welfare of this video game (being it Forum related, Site related, Balancing related, etc)

I'm a very sociable person (easy to notice in-game), and (un)fortunately I'm at a period of my Real Life (which is going to last a long while) that allows me to have a lot of free time during the day, making possible to give 110% attention and dedication to such position. I think this might be my biggest "weapon" on this application since it's overwhelming the number of current admins that are rarely online, or even active, we keep losing some of the few actives with the nomination system and many of the new admins getting recruited are rarely seen in-game.

I have a rich experience regarding the Administration position in several games mods (p.e. Action Quake 2, Call of Duty series, etc) making me aware of the difficulties of the "job" and what actions are the correct ones regarding every decision.

Saying so, I see this Administration position as a duty and not a right (as a large part of the database thinks), a duty I'm ready to embrace for the welfare of this community and to give the best in-game quality time for every player, even if it means to lose my precious game-time and spend several minutes/hours spectating and dealing with any occurrence (nope, I'm not a masochist, I simple had the luck to be educated with the best possible standards which allowed me to have personality and conscience). 

If this is too much of a wall of text for some, I can resume the reasons I would be a good option for the position:

- I'm extremely active, in both Battle and Siege modes of this Mod.

- I have rich background and experience regarding Administration from other games/mods.

- I speak/write fluently English, French, Portuguese, Spanish, and know some basics on German, Japanese (weeaboo-friendly), etc.

- I'm very sociable, friendly and cuddly.  (づ｡◕‿‿◕｡)づ

- I think I'm a bit emotive cause when I see something that is obviously wrong (for any living being with some IQ, at least) and people not doing anything about it I get really worked on and try to fix it even if all tied up, leading to people misjudging me into a complete rage-induced annoying person.

- I make the most wonderful and tasty coffee in the planet (but it's all mine!).

I'd like to apply for admin.

I would be a very just and righteous admin who would do what's necessary whilst still staying friendly and maintain a healthy and nice relationship to the players playing the Official CRPG servers.

I would try to gather proof before using the banhammer and i would also let freedom of speech stay active.

Banning would just be used in extreme cases and/or repeated offenders case. Kicking would be my main tool for people breaking the law.
Mutes would be used if the players would use racism against eachother to offend them.

What else hmm....i would be quite active if i would've been granted admin. And last but not least.

A vote for me is a vote for justice and freedom!

Hi there.

Been playing this for over a year now, started my clan on day 2. I think i've never been so addicted to any other videogame (mod to be precise, native is not that interesting to me).
I hope that during this time period i've made more friends than enemies, but even if it's not the case, i am willing to prove that i can make a decent admin.
Don't want to be a copycat, but the formula that kinngrimm posted is pretty much what i've had in mind too.

- active on the forum, semi-active on IRC
- I speak Russian and English
- 24 yo
- adminned a little bit on Shogunate_Crpg servers
- i admit it when i make a mistake
- i do want to help
- i follow the official server rules and try to report glitches/bugs in  cRPG /Strategus whenever i find them

Well. If everyone gives it a shot..

I am Chris. Some may say, or think, that I tend to rage more than what I should. Of course, I just say such words for fun.
However, if I'd get to a position where I'd have a real responsibility, these would hardly happen, because I'd have to take care of the     people, so that they can play, play fluently and not distracted.

I may not be famous among you for anything, since I play a bit less these days, so a different point of view from this game would be awesome, since I feel a bit burnt out, but I'm working on this, anyway, not related to an admin Application.

My English? Well, this post will tell you. I hardly learned any English in school. School education sucks for foreign languages anyway.

Video Games, Internet. That's where it came from.
It's actually amazing how much I've learned these years, and now I can communicate with people thanks to this.

Talking about experience. I have some basic administrating experience from 2008-9, I used to Organize a Call of Duty 4 server, because the owner moved to a different Country, and left it to me. I dedicated part of my life to it, it was playable, and cheaters and griefers were instantly busted, based on others opinions. I know that Call of Duty has a bad rep around here, but leading a server is leading a server. No matter the game. One must not be narrow minded, it's the biggest parasite of life.

I like moral/tough decisions. It's kinda the fuel of my life. When there is nothing crucial to think about, I'm just bored.

Simply put, In my opinion I can have a good sense of judgement, and leadership. But only, and only if the people and fellow admins agree.
I don't want to look like a tumor, that wants to spread. No.

Also there are many people who already wrote an Application.
From my personal experience some would be much better admins than me.
But I wanted to give it a try. So, what do you say?

Hi there, no matter my occasional forum trolling, i find this a good opportunity to show the people i like challenge aswell, and when i do bitch about something, i do it just cause i can do it the same/better.

Anyways, my name is not important i guess and i am a 26yro IT guy from Czech republic. Started playing last november or so, not that long, but since than i know the rules in and out, i always followed them (not banned or kicked yet), i do sometime troll on the ingame chat, but hey, who doesn't. As i work in somewhat serious area, i am able to learn and follow processes quite well, good teamplayer, reachable on IRC some of the times.

I do speak and write quite acceptable english, i know partially german, slovak, i am czech native speaker and also i know some swear words in some other languages.

I have no experience in administering what so ever, but i believe i would make a good adming following the golden rule of warn, warn, kick, ban. Also i am able to fraps and stuff, so i could bring some hard evidence in cases of repetitive issues  :twisted: Not to mention i was always trying to find me something to do when i drop dead too early in the round :)

my name is Ronni and are 23 years old. i have been leader for brotherhood and admin for our servers for 2 weeks and its going well so far.

as far as i see it admin powers are only used when its needed according to the rules:last guy unreachable roofs is a no-go :mrgreen:

im very activ on cprg and forums since i have no job at the moment  :D but im looking into it and i talk alot with leaders of differents clans.

I am 24 years old (getting old really)
Speak english, german, polish and spanish
~ 1400 hours of crpg
Feeding my addiction daily.
Been a clanleader for 1 1/2 year in
moh:aa, leading two squads.
Been a cupadmin in the clanbase twice.

Admining needs responsibility, neutrality and dedication.

I am not a fan of harsh punishment. Believe a so called educational effect can be achieved by a short note the person currently griefing.

People make mistakes or get angry, I think an admin should act as a reminder, though never as a "punishing" force.

Would be glad to take part in the admin team, specially helping new cats to widen their crpg knowledge.

Note:
I often play siege, yet this gamemode often lacks an admin :-(

Hello! I'm Gaz 21 from the UK. I am currently running The Risen EU servers and dedibox and feel that I have a good understanding of how the game works behind the scenes.

I am an experienced admin and have been in charge of servers for various games in the past including Call of Duty and Battlefield I have also been a forum admin in the various clans that I have been in over the years.

If I needed to describe the way I work as an admin I would say I took more of an overview of what was happening in a server or on the forums and then would only step in with a warning when 100% necessary.

As it currently stands I would rather be involved in helping with the server side behind the scenes stuff like connecting people to the database but would be happy and honoured to be involved with anything.

I want to apply for the post of admin for the official EU server!

I love this great game (mod) and want to contribute to make the game better by making sure that players stick to the rules and to be respectful and kind to each other!
Unfortunately, it is often that players do not do it by insulting each other, team kills on purpose, damage the team's own ladders, kick down teammates from the walls, team hits, opening doors or gates on purpose so enemies come in ect!
That's why I apply to be a gameadmin!
 
I personally always try to be respectful and friendly to all players but of course I have done my fault because no one is perfect!
 
My language is Swedish, English and Croatian (Danish if I've been drinking Tuborg :wink:)!

about me:
im a german (atm 16 years) who lived a while in england for 3 years and then returned back to germany i started playing M&B a year ago in about or even longer if i known how to install the mod crpg i would have started earlier
i got ts3 so if theres something to talk about ill meet the person and talk with him on his ts server

why I should become Admin
-I know the rules and hate especially leechers and know some of their dirty tricks (whos longer than 3 mins dead in siege server)
-I may not be sooo active in the forums just looking for important things.... but im QUITE active in game (especially on siege servers like eu 2)
-I speak German and English and know atleast a little spanish to know if some spanish speaking start a word war
-I know after a few moments if i done something wrong so i can correct mistakes if i judge wrong
-I been in a lot clans in last time so players can be sure i dont judge wrong to protect my clan mates
-I am always ready to try new things which improve the gameplay and teamplay


why I shouldnt become admin :(
-I dont use often the irc chat because there aint often any interesting talks, but if it is needed ill start from today on
-I have done things wrong in past (breaking rules in crpg because i often came in rage if people dis behave) but i want to prove that i can be calm
and fair to others
-I have never been admin before so some traning and talks with other admins will be needed

i  hope soon, i can help the crpg team with the less skills i can offer  :oops: to make gaming in crpg more fair for all players

Here it comes !!

Well i want to be an admin...(what did you think why im posting here, huh ? )

Ive played cRPG for more than 1 year now, and this is one of the greatest communities ive ever seen. I want to help to keep this community alive, thats why im posting here. I play alot of siege and sometimes DTV, of course im playing Battles too but not so intense like some other Guys. Maybe thats why im a little bit unknown.
I was an admin on the Risen servers, so im not a noob in administration. I know that a whole Game/Mod is another challenge, but im ready to try it.

Im in The Risen, so if you want to know something about my Community gaming/behavior you can ask him. I would say that im hardly raging :P
Im active on the Forum and in game. I wasnt banned at any time, so i have a white vest  :mrgreen:
This is not a *OOHHH I WANT TO BE AB ADMIN CAUSE I CAN PUNISH PEOPLE*    NO. This is a serious application.

So, why not give me a chance, huh ??

I would like to be a admin as I'm a good leader and I'm very active I no the game rules and even though I've never been a admin before I feel I would be a good one as I'm in a clan and I'm good with authority as I'm not biased and will always try to make the right options. I speak English and a bit of German and French I have never been in trouble with any admins before and intend not to. I've been playing c-rpg for a while now so I'm not a noob. I go on all the EU servers not just 1 or 2 all the time. I'm a calm player and I think I would make a good admin. I like this community in c-rpg and I'd like to help keep it going and keep it nice. The last thing is that I will report bugs and glitches in maps. I am also a admin on steam for my clan.

Hey, I'd like to be an admin. Yes I've been in trouble before, no point in mying :P, but not for anything major or recently :) I'm quite active and I wouldn't mind sitting on spec while I'm doing my work to answer any complaints I might get. I speak English and have a half decent understand of foreign people that can't quite speak English :P
Not really bothered if I get picked or not, just know we need some new admins, not cos there's anything wrong with our current, just that there are gaps when I don't see admins on :)

Hello everyone!
I want to post here my "become an admin" application, if recruitment isn't closed at the moment of course...  :wink:



First of all, I want to tell that I'm playing Warband since 1 year, C-RPG mod since 10-11 months ( This game is cool so I don't think that I could pigeonhole it and stop playing in it), almost 950h. So I can do few things and I think many players know me. Like I know them...



Why I want to/should be an admin?
- I hate teamkillers, teamattackers (intentional of course).
- Same about door/gate openers, people who kick teammates off the walls, people who destroy their ladders and much more...
- I'm playing always when I've got possibility to do this. Usually on EU_2 & EU_5 , less on another servers (but it can be changed, if it's needed)
- I check forum everyday.
- I think, that I'm friendly and social. I'm not easily getting angry...
- I'm on ts3 everyday.
- I speak quite good English/ and Polish - which is my national language
- If I become an admin and I notice that someone is making something wrong, my first step will be warning... If he don't listen to me, he'll get another warning. Later he'll be kicked from a server. And when he'll come back and still doing same, he'll get banned.
- I'll be impartial and treat all equally (like every admin)

I've never been an admin before, but I think that I could find some good advices from other, more experienced, administrators. I'm a very quick learner. :)
So please, give me a chance to prove you that I can cope with it.

I hate bumping old threads, but it seems like this is still open for applications. I'll keep it short.

Been playing Mount & Blade since late 2009, still loving it. cRPG since early 2010. cRPG was, and still is- what makes M&B still worth playing. Even though I've played for nearly two years, I've always stayed a bit in the background, playing mostly on EU2 siege and merc'ing in Strat battles while posting every now and then on the forums. Not many know my name, and I've kept my distance from clans for most of the time, except a couple of months in the Mercenaries who got me into Strategus 3.0. Dedicated 2h since I could manual block.

I feel it's time to give something back to the community I've been playing with over the last years. I know my way around the community and game, and I've been active on both forums and the cRPG wiki - adding and updating useful information often. I don't rage, if I'm annoyed I rather quit the game and check around on forums and wiki.

In-game, I've played under the nicks of Xtrah, Merc_Xtrah and I_Need_6_Bucks. I'm usually playing afternoons and weekends as I've got school/work as most of us : )
