After the latest patch I think I have noticed something weird going on with my pike. Dont know if it affacts other weapons too. Sometimes hits go straight through people and I'm not lagging. Also sometimes it blocks when I do a sideways block against a thrust/overhead. No weapon contact made. Anyone else experiencing this?

I've always had pikes (and alwpikes) seemingly go straight through people... (and sometimes completely miss and still register as a hit, mostly on teammates) it is extremely finicky. Sometimes you can get lucky and you will block an overhead swing with your side block... but you have to be -exact- with your positioning (I've managed to block overheads a few times with a side block, unintentionally)

Yes we all have experienced that when there is lag involved. Lately however I've paid special attention to that. I've gotten this with players who dont lag. I myself have steady 50ms ping. I play on EU1. Could it be that the server itself is lagging after the latest patch?

Well, polearm thrust hitbox has always been bugged like this. However, for some reason, i experience the bug far more often after the patch myself.
AFAIK, only taleworlds can fix this in a patch.

Yeah it always has happened when there is lag involved. However now it happens even when it's not. That's the ? of the thread.

Yes, I'm also having seemingly more issues with pikes recently. Hitting a teammate standing next and just a little bit forward of me. Missing "due to range" when it should have recorded a hit.

Pike stabs tend to veer to the right at the start of the animation before heading straight, its always been like that. Also, since the shaft has not hitbox, you can curve the spearhead around a team mate or wall and hit an enemy even though the pike is technically through a team mates body. It's the lolstab, but lawlier.

i like the polearm overhead hitbox, cant hit allies :D

It's not only the pike thrust. Noticed in with overhead right face to face while not moving.
The slash goes right through the opponent, he had upper block chambered but nothing happend.
So it can't be a lag issue, sometimes it is just borked :p

Yeah, all polearms have very strange affects, this is why I have always complained they are OP: I can lance thru peoples blocks if I facehug, can bend them round corners, over fences, thru teammates, ignore shields by facehugging again, and the lateral swing animation on polearms that have one is just, well, STUPIDLY overspeed. They need removing from game untill Taleworlds fix them.

I don't see pikes being fixed anytime soon, but I believe carrying on with the current disastrous state is not an option as well. Removal is the only solution.

I remeber stabbing someone running horizontally from me and I stabbed behind him like 1 meter and it hit... it was really like a wtf moment :S

I don't think anymore that hitboxes are off. I think they are completely ignored in some cases. Don't have slightest clue why that could happen. Just now I scored at least 3 textbook perfect through-and-through hits that were completely ignored.

The best way to hit a teammate with a pike is turning your back on him and doing an overhead swing. Don't laugh, it's the case. Another fishy manner is thrusting clearly on his left. It will register a hit on the ally.

You're not alone with this, I use the pike a lot, love it for doing a nice support *cough* killsteal *cough* role.
(Joking aside, it's a nice weapon if you prefer helping your team, having a guy dedicated to taking out cavalry, and helping you out in tough situations is always good, right?)
But these not-registering hits are very common. Nowadays I stab an enemy, and the ally next to it dies by the stab, things are a bit weird if you ask me.
