Title: Boundries around the maps
Post by: Reddy on August 15, 2011, 04:00:10 pm
I suggest to add a coloured line where the invisible wall boundry starts around the map, it would help to know so cavalry dont keep bumping into it constantly.

It doesn't even have to be a coloured line just something to show where the invisible wall starts around the map.

Have to say that can be a major annoyance. Having an epic cavalry chase only to have all of you run into a wall. And some maps the boundary is far further than you'd expect, and others far closer. However, not sure how you would do this without it looking very ugly.

Maybe it cant be a thick forest or a big fence surronding the area?

When I hit invisible wall it piss me off, but if I chase some other cavalry guy and I know this guy will soon hit this fucking forcefield - priceless :D
You need to learn the map.

I like that idea, a boundry of trees for grassy maps (snowy trees for snowy maps) and rocks for desert maps.

Would look damn stupid TBH. There is a prop that's a  "white line", like those in a football field. But, meh..

This is a HUGE undertaking, not worth the time invested, but if you feel that strongly about it perhaps you should fire up the o'l map editor and give it a go.
