Just started playing as lance cav, how do you guys have that 'lance control' option set up? Automatic?

-
Standard key is x to couch a lance. Thrust is possible with some but the Great Lance, I believe, it must be couched... no thrust with it.
Timing is critical however you use it.
I sometimes use a War Spear for close quarter combat on horseback.
-
And this is related to the question how?

-
It is the only lance controls, no automatic in cRPG.

-
The question was how the actual lancers have their setting called "Lance control", nothing more.

-
Its only for singleplayer,  in multi its automatically set on Hard, thus you cant choose

-
for you guys that are good at couching, how do you keep your lance stabilized and not bouncing all around.  I cant ever hit someone directly infront of the horse, only wide right

-
The terrain and speed control are critical when couching.
Just a slight uphill grade, as well as slowing down too much, will cause the lance to lift or bounce.
Sometimes thrust is the only choice in hilly terrains.
-
I try to never couch someone directly infront of me as I find that instead of couching them I horsebump them instead, I just couch to the side of me and turn into them.

Directly infront of your horse is a blind spot of sorts that you can't attack them.  When I'm couching I like to keep it on the far right and turn the horse left into people.
