Title: EU2 melee only?
Post by: Nemeth on January 20, 2011, 02:50:32 pm: Was there given any explenation on why ranged weapons are disabled on EU2? I'm merely looking for explenation from someone competent, because I didn't find anything in announcement, nor here in general discussion. I don't wanna start a flame war, so please, keep it civil.

I sure hope it will stay like this, most people still play on EU1 (it's just as populated as before) and less than 50 people play on EU2, those who are tired of the ranged spam. This way everyone can have fun.

EDIT: Ganon, tell me what makes you more man than people who actually aren't afraid of anything that flies their direction and fight on regular server? I mean, your statement doesn't make any sense. If you feel like a man when part of the game that made your class harder to play is disabled... (yeah, this is possibly a begining of flame war, but I couldnt resist :X )

uggg, ranged has always been for whimps imo :) , nemeth u can lock the thread urself if im not wrong, since ur the creator, and omg i had somuch fun on eu2 , i would actually donate each week if this server stayed melee only

Post by: Brutal on January 21, 2011, 10:52:17 am: Warband without ranged is dull. I experienced it during melee monday. The first 15 mn are fun and then you realize it's just 2 gang colliding round after round.
No needs for tactic just a big frontal assault... but if some people enjoy it let them have a permanent range free server.

Ill ask gorath if I can have it on one of the NA servers too. Dunno bout EU4. Connasse once said it was ok, but ill ask him again.
