Hello,
This afternoon I placed a transaction on the marketplace:
Mighty warhammer for 850 000 gold
Someone (Generalissimo) traded but I didn't receive any gold for it... And i'm pretty sure I wrote 850 000 in the gold demand case so... yeah I'm pretty pissed right now, hope you guys will be able to sort this out.
Thank you in advance

Sold for 850 gold.
-
If you put periods or commas it stops reading past that point, so 850,000 or 850.000 will be read as 850.
-
Oh great...
Grinding so much time and then getting fucked like this because of a stupid mistake and nobody can't do nothing about it.
Please tell me there is a way to get back my item I'm seriously considering leaving this mod because of this bs
And the guy who traded my warhammer doesn't even respond to my PM...
-
I hope you get your item back. I really think devs should revert these trades (until the , and . issues are fixed, at least) because I think it is obvious that the seller did not intend to give his item away for free.

It would be nice if it flagged every heirloom sold for three or less digits and refuse to put it up, as that would pretty much solve it.
-
It would be simple to code in something that doesn't let you put something up for trade if it's not an integer. But then again, it would also be simple to code in something that allows you to post money offers for heirlooms, but we don't have that yet, either.

So what now, I'd like to have an answer from an admin, I lost my weapon to a bug (I'm sure I wrote 850000), the guy who bought it don't want to give it back, you have admin power, you can force him to do it or you can give me 3 loom points instead but please don't tell me it's lost because a masterwork weapon is like 1 month or more of playing and grinding and this is obvious I wouldn't sell it for 850 gold...

You're not the only one who put the numbers in wrong mate. The only way you're getting it back is if you can convince the other guy to give it to you. Next time double check your trade :D

I checked before submitting the trade actually this is not the first time I trade items on the marketplace...

I meant make sure you check AFTER you put the trade up.

Hey, if you have a MW longbow i buy it for 1500.000 gold, good price no?
-
If you put periods or commas it stops reading past that point, so 850,000 or 850.000 will be read as 850.
That's a pretty serious bug if you ask me. Should be fixed somehow.

Bump,
proof I didn't wrote 850 but 850 000:

There is a space, is it the reason of the bug ?

Yes. Coding does not like spaces, they do weird shit. The average program will read a space as "start new concept" (Or in the case of some games, just crash if part of the uncommented script) so after the 850 it stopped treating any new information as part of the information.
-
Sigh, why are there so many people who does this mistake? Is it just me or are they popping up 1 or 2 every month?

Nothing to fix because it's not a bug. Have none of you people ever used a calculator in your entire lives or something?

First of all
^          ^
Secondly, it sucks that it seems you sold your item for 850 gold, but now you know. Always proof your transactions.
