In big battles it's often hard to keep a shield wall together because players move at different speeds. I'd love a toggle which lets players move at a slower but uniform pace which most players could keep up with. This way players could advance in a shield wall formation with more precision and less manic tapping of the w-key.

The only way i know is that in native you can walk when you zoom, but that is only when you're doing no action except moving. I'm not sure if this is possible though, walking while holding a shield?

+1 we need walk mode.
would be perfect if all classes no matter armor etc walked the same speed in this mode. We could have real battles that don't always turn in to wild charges.

Isatis approve!
I feel always stupid when i try a shield wall advance aand get outrun because I'm in heavy armor and then the shield wall is like a swiss cheese...
also I feel way more stupid when it is my that outrun my allie and get killed by the ennemie we were suppose to kill...
so a walking mode will make a lot of tactic easy therefore I hope your idea will be taken by dev!

+1, its needed.

+9001 needed alots.

+1, also already been suggested

Yeah the ability to "match speed" with other shielders would be extremely beneficial and look amazing instead of just a disorganised rabble charging at you.
-
+1, it would look cooler and work better in practical. One of the big problems with shieldwall engaging is the different speeds

Would be great!

Also, it would be so cool to get your polearm to the shoulder when you march.

I mean, that's so bad-ass.

Really cool idea. I like it.

I do like the idea of a uniform march button. However, I think it does somewhat take away from the skill element of teamplay. It's hard to keep a shieldwall together, but not impossible. We practice it when we can and we're able to hold one together. I think it's more about communication than anything else.

It would still look more badass to have them walking in the wall, rather than running like maniacs.
