will be crpg mode for with fire and sword???
-
No.
-
sadfully not.
-
What is with fire and sword?
-
its the worst game ever made
-
why would it go to wfas, its the same game, same engine. wfas is nothing more than a commercial mod
-
Bs. WFaS rocks. It's not even close to same game and seperate crpg for it would rock balls.
-
yeah all we need is a crpg with 100% ranged fun! seriously tho the game is total shit i wish i could send it back to steam for a refund
-
i like it, take a melee weapon and lol at all the people with their muskets who cant block :L

I admit, at launch the game was shit. But they've REALLY improved it with the last couple of patches. The captain modes are super-fun!

Haven't played WFAS since launch, maybe i should try it again.
-
Me neither, but I'd rather just play crpg :)..

Do it. It is really great. At least the captain ones, were your awesome melee skillz can REALLY shine :D And the Captain co-op is basically Full invasion mod but better! I fucking love it! Me and my pikesquad can hold of massive ammounts of enemies, which means the retarded musketmen allies I have can at least stay safe long enough to be useful :D

I picked it up in the steam sales for about £3. I admit it is a laugh...the fairly random aspect of the campaign is interesting, though frustrating. Most of my battles go either of 2 ways.
1st:
O look a large group of bandits, attack! Proceed to watch them run aimlessly into my perfectly formed musket line and be slaughtered.
2nd:
A real battle...FINALLY. Proceed to get shot within the first 10 seconds of the fight from a seemingly impossible long and inaccurate, musket shot. Yet something that is a worryingly frequent occurrence. Result...either lose you're 70 men whilst lying in the dirt, or press alt+F4. I know which I choose every time!
The one shot kill muskets really do make this game a pain in the arse on the campaign early on.

that why i dont play it, the campaign, i get 1 shot 15 seconds into the battle, its boring as fuck, and it had the same annoying issues in Warband such as no loot for village fights

In campaign mode, I think they want you to COMMAND your troops instead of LEAD them. You kind of have to hide behind your troops your first few battles. Though after I get some decent armor and a good horse it's pretty easy to take out stragglers since reloading their rifles takes so long.

But I wanna shoot stuff :(
I learned after a couple of battles that your horse doesn't stray easily here. So I lined my men up, then got off my horse next to them and shot from behind it
