Title: What is the point of castles?
Post by: soc_em_roc_em on August 06, 2011, 03:12:02 pm
Other than the sweet purple text for the owner, do castles actually do anything? I thought they decreased the upkeep of any garrisoned troops, but I don't even know how much is troop upkeep in the first, and I also have no idea how much the upkeep decrease would be. Also, do cities do anything?

As far as I know, there is a little point in ownership at the moment, however, future plans are grand.
As of now, the clan owning the fief doesn't have to pay fief-related fee, and thus, by the grace of fief-owning player, it can be basicly denied for all non-clan members by raising fee to extremely high levels.

1). Working in castles can give you more gold then in some towns.
2). Also you can safely (depends on castle) stock your equip and troops there. Safer then in village or player.

It shows everyone how rich and bad ass you are. Like most things in life, you don't need it but you want it anyway.
