Title: horse armors
Post by: Glyph on August 01, 2011, 10:06:07 pm
the only kind of armor a horse has atm, is body armor, which i believe covers the armor for all body parts(correct me if i'm wrong), but wouldn't it be logic to have head armor, etc.?

imo it is. not only is it an expension but cavalry couldn't offord a fully armored horse most of the time(just like in c-rpg :D), therefore they chose the most vunerable parts of a horse(while in a direct charge towards the enemy ofc., because that was the role of cavalry), those were the breast(front) and the head, this could be afforded by a bigger part of the cavalry.

so my suggestion is:
add different kinds of armor for different body parts of a horse(like head armor, breast armor, body armor) not only to increase game experience but also because we can introduce half armored horses.

disscus

Totally Agree

Also would be great to have some heraldric caparisons.

I dont like the way the charger or plated charger look. Be great to have some gothic or 16th cent horse armours

It is doable

Just have textures for all hearldry. and allow the horse that use heraldric caparisons to be able to swap there horse through the online store at no cost

problem solved

If it's "just body armor," then why does shooting the plated charge in the head with a bow bounce off, but not on a Rouncey or whatever?
