Title: Playing on multiple computers
Post by: avmana on July 29, 2011, 02:39:45 am
Is it possible to log in to the game and access your characters from more than one computer???
(Not simultaneously)

I tried a while back and it didn't work, just wondering if it's possible?
Thanks

To access your character on the website then simply log in.

To access your character in game you need an identical CD key.

So you just install the game on your other comp and write the same name in the character screen before you go into the lobby?

No, your serial key has a unique ID online, this is what the character is saved onto.
Afaik the only way to use the same serial on different computers is with steam, might be wrong.

I do it with steam on 4 different computers.  it works perfectly.

I would assume that if you were not using steam the only requirement would be using the same cd key on every computer.

You can have one installation and just switch the keys via exported regfiles. Go to regedit, find your key, make a new one with they key you want. Each time you play with a new key you simply start the (specific) regfile before loading up warband.
