Title: A style question
Post by: Bobthehero on July 25, 2011, 09:20:48 am
What helmet should I use!
Morion or Sallet with Visor (the one w/o maille under it)

Edit: Adding the open face Sallet.

More edit: Its to be used with a Thick Gothic Plate with Bevor.

The coif has HORRIBLE clipping with the bevor and for the sake of deciency I wont use it.

Sallet with visor so you look like a proper Gothic knight!

Sallet with visor is your only choice. I still have this set in my inventory.
Another helmet which was actually worn with bevor is Chapel de Fer, but it only offers 47 protection and looks a bit ugly :).

PS Hmm... 47 + 6 = 53. Not that bad, actually.

PPS Another thing is that such a plate armor doesn't fit to your sword :P.

The plate is thick, the head armor is 10 + helmet.

I beg to differ.

Also it's kinda weird when I see someone in plate armour, without a helm.. it's like WTF is this guy thinking?

1hit deaths in the head are no fun.

I do that sometimes, but the bevor actually gives head armor  :D

Helmets are for the simple minions.  You are the hero and dont´t need one.

Yup, just ask BKS Rhade and his Milanese with no helmet stunt that he pulled many a time. He was a hero who died repeatedly to everyone and their mother shooting at his head. Way to go, turning yourself into a bullet magnet...

As I said, thick bevor!
Saved my ass a couple of times actually, I was left with 5-6 hp thanks to the 10 or so armor I get.

Then he was not heroic enough.

//and more offtopic

Haa, you are an hero (your name gives that away), so you have to do it for free.
