Title: M&B Warband, my ping is every few sec very high

my problem is: i have problems with my ping in mb warband and just in warband. in other games my ping is perfect just in mb my ping is every 3 sec high and i cant play... i have this problem a few days ago, i reinstalled mb but it still lags :( someone help me pls(lags in crpg and native)

More info please? Connection speed? Wireless? (Check your processes, maybe something downloading/eating up shit loads of proccesoring power)

Atm im on 2.6mbps and wireless,im usually at 70-90ping and lag upto 140-450 very often (packet loss),theres not much to do about it but to get cable internet and not wireless or to get a better connection.

well, i have good internet connection and in other games everything is perfect... just in moundt and blade my ping is usually up to 500 then down to 30 up again

I have the same problem, I think it occurred with the new patch.
Never had the issue before big patch!

I have mini lag when ppl spawn.in siege this big hemorrhoids,especially when i near spawn,Yesterday it reached its apotheosis when ppl start spawn near me i got 400 ping...i have strong comp most part games launch on max settings,100mb unlim all other work perfect for me,but this is RAGE!

I had this problem too. I was playing normal but sometimes i had 1k ping for a second and = disconnected. I tried to tell this problem to my internet provider for a week. They tried all options like port, ip, dns etc. A day its solved but i dont know what they did :D But be sure i didnt play for a week.

Yeah, This problem must be tied to the last patch. Suddenly is been having lag spikes on NA servers up to 345 or more. Usually it stays at 45/50. Either cable is pooping itself because of the constant bad weather, or I have an unwanted background program... (I hope not), or it's just the patch. Who knows. I would scan your computer tho, just in case.

Hmmm, I notice similar problems, but very infrequently. I also think that they only started recently...never noticed it, before.

i never really have ping problems, but sometimes i get graphics lag... witha  ati hd 5970, which is a 500 euro gpu...
Also been getting it since the last patch.

I got it after the second last "fix" patch. I even reinstalled windows and nothing changed. Worked perfectly before.
And i must say i find it seems to differ from server to server, and it doesn't always occur at first for me.

To elaborate on how i experience it:
The screen would freeze for less than a second and if i was walking i'd slide animationless toward where i would've been standing.
Sometimes i would experience lag with 17 ping, but i think that's a different problem.

I have the same problem, but I don't think it's from the patch.
Warband's ping goes crazy on me from 60 to 200 easily sometimes even going as high as 600. It seems only to happen during the peak hours during the day which sucks because that's normally when I can actually play the game, nothing is wrong with my internet connection, I've done speed tests & even called Bell to see if it was a problem on my end. It just seems that once everyone is on Warband at once my ping goes out of control, I can play in the early mornings and super late at night but other than that my ping will be un-manageable.

BTW, Warband is THE ONLY GAME that does this for me. Every other online game I play is completely fine, so usually during peak hours I'm playing Bad Company2 instead of Warband :(

I've had this problem a while ago. I would lag like a maniac (400-600 ping) for 5-10 seconds and then it was back to 25 ping again.

I tried a lot and eventually it was a problem with the way W7 deals with wireless and the fact I had a wireless connection. The lag on my network would be <1ms normally and when I lagged in M&B it would be >1000ms network lag.

I pulled a cable through the floor and I never had the problem again.

The only lag I have now is server side. My ping is steady between 20-30 on EU servers.

Same exact problem, my ping is usualy averaged about 80 now its average about 150 and it once went up to 12560, litteraly said that.

usually my ping on Eu_1-6 is between 20-30. usually.

Im gonna reStart this topic again, because it suddenly started again and my ping goes crazy.
Usually it's 32 now it turns into 120 in 1 sec and down again. Sometimes in little steps to 90 up and then to 50 down, the weird thing is that this ONLY happens in Mound and Blade. Ive gone through many connection tests and I use Vistantilag but there are still the same lags. For example in Call of Duty I do have a perfect connection.

Does everyone start running in one direction? Does your ping go up very high, but it comes down like right after? If so, that's called a ping spike. I used to get them (and I still do), but the only solution for me was replacing the type of adapter I had (I was connected to a different modem wirelessly, though).

My ping spikes are completely synchronized with Cyranule and other people that seem to be west coasters.

I don't know about the patch causing this but I know for a fact EU_2 and 3 (maybe siege as well, don't know don't ply it much) so the servers them selves have been having problems perhaps this is the cause?  :shock:

your thoughts?

Ummm, I hate to break it to you, but they introduced magic, that's whats causing it.
The time freeze spell to be more exact. There are many others, invisibility, teleportation and levitation for instance.

I do have lag spikes on every server except the shougnate where i have constantly 32 ping
