While Initially I thought I liked the new animation for Long Hafted Blade on horseback, I find I'm horribly ineffective with it since the change. Even though i have no 1h wpf, I am far more effective with the Arabian Cav Sword than the Long Hafted Blade on horseback.
Any chance on reverting back to the old animation? what was the reason for the change?
Anyone else feel the same?
ps. i know it's a little late to be complaining about this change.

It changed because it does the cool.

you just simply dont want to use that weapon off horseback
-
but the native animation is way better and effective

McNoodles, I 100% agree.
Long Hafted Blade in native was designed for horseback, and in real life it was commonly used on horseback, but in c-rpg its slower, has less reach, and is less effective than any 1h sword/shield.
Cav is now more 1h centric (this is a good thing,) but the LHB should be just as deadly as a 1h sword, considering how vulnerable a LHB wielder is on horseback compared to a sword/board cav.

The 'new' animation for horseback lhb is utter wank. It's extremely hard to judge, has very short range and I'm pretty sure screws attacks over in terms of sweetspot swingspeed bonus.
Before it was changed I used to quite enjoy switching up weapons. LHB and Iron Staff were both fun sideswing polearms on horse, but were by no means op.
Now iron staff has no swing and lhb's is so worthless it might as well not have it.
So many ill-thought-out changes have really harmed diversity. All (almost) lancers use heavy lance where before it was more diverse. Thrustable great lance, heavy lance and long awlpike used to make lancing a constant process of assessment and reaction.

1. It is not.
2. The way it is swung IRL is much closer to the new animation than to the old one.

Eh, I like historical accuracy as long as it doesn't take away from gameplay.
Given the recent decrease in lance attack window, and the less recent addition of un-sheathable wep property of lances, I feel improving the LHB would be appropriate.
