If it hadnt been for the suiciders, we would have won.

Yeah, just 30 tickets, damn you people not listening, damn yoooooooooooooooooou, especially when we had the last spawn, everyone just rushed out randomly and died instead of organizing the last tickets, boo.

My first actual battle. It was messy, but surely was a nice experience and learned alot! These battles make me forgot the endless grind for heirlooms ( which i still won't participate in)

Was nice to watch, villagers did a great job.

So one question - what is all that looting in the end about? Do you loose all other equipment?

True, but seeing 0:12 kds from them isn't exactly awesome either  :?
If we had some 30 more tickets we could have won.. oh well.

Yeah, I've been in 4 battles so far and lost every single MW I ever used in them. Of course that doesn't mean much since I doubt anybody is at the point where they can bring loomed weapons into combat.

Don't think we had any 0:12 kdr's. We're not doing great on the EU servers, that's true, but we don't suck that bad.

But yeah, excellent work on defense by everyone. A couple more tickets and things would have turned out very differently.

I think i saw X:12 deaths, but I saw 0:8 and 0:6 for sure, but whatever, and I know that ping is a bitch, I played on NA servers for two weeks as an horse archer pre-bigpatch.
The reason why im flaming LLJKs is that in pre-bigpatch they often showed up on town sieges and wasted bows/arrows and stuff, and had REALLY shitty KDs (5-50 etc)

Yes, strategus battles are lagging just terrible. I think it cause of great number of spectrators. But spectrators didnt want to leave the server when we asked them for it.
ps: admins kicked spectrators only during the first battle (when fallens took their village) but all other battles I participated in they just didnt notice tons of them..
pps: I heard that in the old strat admins banned and kicked spectrators and there were no such great lags.. Is it true?

The problem was communication on the villagers side. The russian players didn't understand us and kept on charging. We would've won if it wasn't for that.

I don't think it's fair to blame the Russians by themselves. The problem was that each clan mobbed up and refused to coordinate with the other mobs. You'd occasionally get a bunch of mobs together and smash an Acre attack decisively, but it was mostly just trading casualties for no reason.

I think the deciding factor in terms of casualties was Acre's...odd...choice in armour.

They brought what looked to be padded cloth (or similar) that was basically on par or worse with the villagers. And they didn't even bring enough of that, since their last 150 or so tickets fought naked. Tunic over Mail or something like that would have saved them a lot of casualties.

The villagers split up into basically two huge blobs, but there wasnt much communication between them, when one would push, one would retreat, whereas if both had pushed they could have swarmed the spawn and ended it about 15 minutes into the battle.

They had actually gotten the flag down, but didnt have the numbers to keep it down for very long.

I agree. But at the time we thought that ALL villages would be very lightly armored and that we would work much better together. We didn't account for the fact that we had maaany outside forces sign up (and sadly we were forced to use outside forces) and fight for us.

Note to self: Never buy padded armor for an army ever again! :D

We also didn't think of the siege shields we bought until later (Doi).


As far as I know, there was another faction or two that did badly like us, so It's more a noobie mistake. Should've done better, but live and learn.

Only one (and we had 50 tickets less than village). The first one was captured quite nicely  :rolleyes:

the first one i was in we just capped each other spawns as most of us didnt knew shit, so the battle took 20tickets to SHogunate :D
