The Order of the Gryphon is a band of warriors under the leadership and heraldry of Jaakko the Sire, whose family dates back to the dawn of ages. Back to the barbaric days when people only learned to kick in combat, and beyond.
These days the ancestors of Jaakko saw the spreading violence and chaos in Calradia and took unto themselves the task of bringing again order into the land, so that he might save even a few from the bloodthirsty warlords that cause misery on the ordinary folk. Thus was born the greatest knightly order to ride upon the face of Calradia!
The Gryphon, being a noble beast, represents the ideals of the family of Jaakko the Sire, and of the Order. Nobility and bravery.
Warfare
The order will mostly fight mounted, like any self respecting western knight should. Reckless and impetuous charges against the odds. The more glory if we win. Ranged troops will only have a small supporting role. For I shall not have mere archers steal away the glory of the knightly charge!
Equipment
We wear western armour and use western weapons. Preferably gear that show the heraldry of the Order.
Joining
Any person wishing to join this noble cause must not have a big mouth, either by talk or by look, for it scares the peasantry.
He must respect his enemy, both in loss and in victory. Even if the other guy is really annoying.
This is a casual, not too serious strategus faction. I am not looking to form a big clan, just a small faction to make some fun strategus action.
Members will have much freedom in strategus, I will only act as Marshall, SP style.
Our members will have the Gryphon tag in their names.
