Simple Sword  = Sword-1dmg = Arming Sword-2dmg

I remember when I had to use that weapon due to the slow income, about a year ago, it was along with an haubergeon that deflected a perfectly normal hit from a great bardiche, a magical item of great power.

actually not bad considering how cheap it is.
Plus it's name is awesome so you get +1 style points
