With the new archer animation, if you are carrying a polearm over your back (over half of them) and some of the 2hersas well, when you zoom in as an archer the weapon will blcok most of the aiming reticule including the entire center of the aiming reticule. You cannot zoom aim as ana rcher 3rd person with most polearms and amny 2hers. Please can this be fixed, it is making it very limiting on weapons an archer can carry and I love my iron staff.
-
that was so annoying so i sold my polearm and got my 2h back.. it was so frustrating
-
it is chadz evil plan to make you always play first person mode so you are easier to sneak up on

It's not an error.
You could manually edit the items file on your machine and turn off the show weapon on back flag (afaik there is a tool for editing the items file), or get used to it. I use a glaive and the damned thing covers a good part of your reticule at certain angles, too, but I'd hate it if they took out it showing on the back for everyone, just looks good slung there when you're not trying to shoot things.
-
It only just occurred to me my iron staff really was blocking my reticule, mind blown . At 123 archery my reticule isn't the tiniest thing to aim with but I guess I just compensated by using my iron staff like iron sights, hehe.
-
I just got used to it with my bec. Then again it's not that long so it's not so annoying.

TRUE! Guess what: Archers should not have polearms, the idea is laughable. You chose to carry those items, deal with it or dont be a spanner: Archers carry 1h/2h swords, thats just taken as standard.

Should be permabannable.
Any difference between game files and original should be permabannable. Also the option to remove plants and bushes visually should be removed from options, its a joke that you can edit how the game looks clientside, we are supposed to play on an even field, not adjust the game to personal advantage. cRPG badly needs some kind of anticheat, and saying that the chars stats load from website is not enough: swingspeed can be edited by hand, as can visuals.....not fair at all.

I agree. Its so ridiculous. Most/ Many archers have bow plus a huge weapon on their back. lol?
A small mace, pick, sword, that should be the melee weapon an archer is allowed to use, def no 2h and def no polearm.
-
Why wouldn't an archer be able to have a polearm? I don't see any reason in game or irl for someone not be able to do that. It's not like you carry everything in your hands.
-
But guess what? The devs will never limit class weapons because it would be too much like native or be too hard to change with how the system already works.
-
Its impossible to aim and shoot with a heavy weapon hanging over your shoulder. But realism is not an argument, so nevermind.

I tell you what, get yourself a longbow, grow to 6foot4, spend 2 hours each day practising with your longbow, then try to shoot in a combat situation with a steel bar strapped to your back. When you have mastered this, come back and tell us why it was so hard to load, aim, and run your body through the process of countering your entire bodies weight with your right arm, while u made your spine bend a S shape around the pole on your back.
Or THINK: Polearm, anything on yourback, snags bowstring. Not poss.
-
Or use a polearm that doesn't show on your back...problem solved....
-
drop it on the floor and hope there are no thieves around

In crpg? Youll be lucky.

Its an error in the game, just asking for a fix. Like maybe angling weapons on back slightly different now that they made this lame goblin archer animation. No need to get uppity about it, should be able to use glaive and iron staff adn all the other cool weapons without a display error on screen.

 Now I'm starting to understand where those troll points come from. Fyi you can carry shitloads of weight on your back and it wont affect your accuracy. Drawing is bit more difficult but not that significant. I've personally shot a bow that was at the edge of my drawing capability while wearing a full camera back. That's one of them big ones with 2 dslr bodies and tons of lenses and a tripod on the back of that. That weights tons. Try it sometime. It's fun.
