Post by: Lordark on July 15, 2011, 09:53:41 am
Tired of this new trend of cheapness.

U wanna shoot stufffrom a horse u should get HA penalty like the regular horse archers!

Don't they already get it?

Now I suddenly realise that I have spend 5 points in HA for nothing! It must have been just illusion that my crosshair grow smaller with every point.

Some people prefer the ignorance lot in life.

Which is easier?

Being smart, and having to help the ignorant.....

Or being ignorant?

it does. Just the wpf put into xbows goes further than archery. 120 xbow wpf gives me near the same accuracy as before the nerf. Shots miss a bit more often now.

mounted Xbows, though, take more precision than a bow(one shot then reload) so most of us get good with aiming and timing fast.

Let me guess, you are yet another player who is complaining about a class that you have never played and thus don't know what you are talking about?

I agree, Mounted Crossbows do deserve the HA penalty that they already have.

PS: Is it possible to convince the Dev's to implement another forum "censor" that changed xbow into crossbow?

Odd, my crossbowman on horse with 0 HA seems to have a very large negative effect, and moving on the horse drastically increases the reticule compared to moving on ground and my over all effectiveness was lowered.

As a horse xbowman I can confirm that to use a xbow on horseback effectively horse archery is required.

K! So I guess we can agree mounted xbowmen NEED HA to work right. How much that is Im not sure yet but Im guessing since xbows fly at a straighter flight that you would not need as much HA as say an Archer to be 'good' with it.

No, because next patch they are implementing the xxxbow. Its like a regular crossbow, except instead of bolts, it launches rolled up playboys at the enemy.

Penalty to damage at full gallop was capped at a measly 20% (or was it 10?), and Ha takes a 2% (or 1%) off this penalty with each point. It is the accuracy that matters and HA gives back a lot of the lost accuracy. Crossbows do huge amounts of damage so that 20 or 10% penalty at full gallop did not matter to them, and it was still a one or 2 shot kill.

Right now there is no point in using a bow on horse given the weakness. A pure HC however, can get 200 WPF, 10 ride, 5 HA (and this HA is the most important) and have 2 points leftover for PS or to buff strength. You reload really fast with 200  wpf, you can outride anything you cant outfight and you can damage tin cans. If I did not have a heirloomed bow would have gone over already. If you took care of your firing arcs, you can outshoot HAs.
