Title: deleted main char, now cant select a main
Post by: Warsloth on July 15, 2011, 05:40:31 am: If I create new chars it gives me the option on the website to make them my main for strategus, but the option doesnt show for my other old ones, just shows them as "alternate"

I deleted my main to make an alt my new main, now Im kinda frooped.

This is how it normally works.
Any character that existed while you had a "Main" will be permanently listed as an "Alt."

My "main" had a screwed build and I wanted to delete and make my alt a main because it was the one I would rather play. I really don't understand the mechanic that excludes alts from becoming mains if there is no other main on the account. What purpose is that for? I am supposed to level another char to 30 with the same build as one i already have??!?!

Post by: Vibe on July 19, 2011, 01:39:45 pm: If you want to select a character for a Main, it has to be a freshly made character (a character you made after you deleted your main).
There are a few reasons why switching mains to already made alts is not allowed, which I cba to write down.

You sell everything, then you change main and buy everything from all of your alt.
If you don´t want to grind again you can use skip the fun option.

Btw, why did you set a main that has a crapy build?

Since it is your brother's house, is it using his copy of Warband and not yours? Probably a CD key thing.
