That's it. 40 is just too hardcore. Really. Make it 60. Or at least 55-50. I think even non-lancers will agree with me. It looks so unnatural.
On the second thought - screw it. Increase lance length or decrease heavy lance speed (we deal less dmg with it now, so it was a nerf, turning our main dmg dealing weapon into light supporting). But just in case, we could REALLY use 10 degrees. It wont make cav OP again, at least it won't be that hard for us.

I disagree, I made a lancer with 22/15 , heavy lance and courser, its amazing onehitting almost everything with a good hit , the angle doesnt allow lancers to fight people from sides and often other HAs but I find that fair for the killing power they have, nerf the speed bonus(hardcoded?) or the pierce dmg for more angle. Thats my opinion.

i dont beleive the courser is the horse of this patch (for lancers). to fast and imprecise

50-60 degree lancing angle won't be horrible. I like the new system, but it does feel a bit limiting

I'd trade some lance's speed for moar angle. We were fine with 63 speed. We don't need that useless speed buff - give us our degrees! (seriously)

speed change was a nerf you know.

I know it was a nerf. Some silly non-lancers players put it up as a buff to prove that cav wasn't nerfed that bad.

As far as I know, they need WSE to set to around 55.

55 at the minimum would make a lot more sense.

We can't at the moment. It's either 40° (stolen from couching angle) or the prepatch angle. Nothing in between. Later with WSE we can find a better angle or even make it movement speed based(big maybe).

This is a good point, because you still cannot outrange ANYTHING with a poke.
Not being able to run down a man with a pike or spear is one thing, but being out poked by EVERYTHING pointy on the field is very limiting to a new cav breed that can only hit things that are pretty much directly in front of you. You either have to hit the inf in the back, or he has to be a moron.
Either the lance length should increase so it will be at the very limit of a sword poke when charging, or the angle needs to be increased so cav doesnt have to be a troll class.

yep, but they shouldn't increase the angle, because they are right, it is impossible to do and not correct, just increase the length of lances

ah, finally i understand why ^^
Looking forward to WSE, but yes the suggestion with a bit more range would be an ok temp fix.

so uhm, how long will WSE take? cause if this is gonna last for half a year, i am dissapoint
