Title: Selling strategus troops.

Since there is no section devoted to strategus economy I'm posting it here.

I'm selling strategus troops for cRPG gold.


Where? Ryibelet villiage, Right next to Suno (NE of Suno and E of Praven).

Price? Current bid 1.4k per troop, over 40 troops already waiting. See below.

Who? Everyone, first come first serve.

It takes 1 hour to get 1 troop.

In 1 hour I can earn:

50 gold per tick * 60 minutes = 3000 gold * average multiplier of 2 = 6000 gold

Let's say 1/6th go to repairs, that's 5k.


I don't see anyone else on the map with 40 troops anywhere near me and it's a very early stage of the game, of course the price will be high.

And no, I'm not from China and I'm doing just fine with my elephant. I'm feeding him with dead archers.

Erhm... you can recruit and earn gold in crpg at the same time dude. And you can't transfer strategus gold to crpg part...
40 troops is very LOW number. The price Ginger is offering is quite reasonable.

So, what you're saying is that, even though you can get 100 troops a day with a loyal faction and about 150 for having one village, you want us to pay 200,000 cRPG gold for 40 troops? *sigh*

Dis guy should take my offer before I lower mine any more. And let this be a testament to why gold should be transferable to and from crpg. If gold is transferable chadz has more control over the prices.

I'm saying that nobody has any villiages yet, there is noone anywhere near me with 40 troops and it's a very early stage of the game.

I already had an offer for 1k per troop so I won't take anything lower than that. Later in the game, sure, but not now when all towns are empty waiting to be taken.

For my amusement? How about to ensure that you actually got an offer for 1K per troop. I couldn't care any bit less about who the other buyer is. If this isn't possible, then have him send me a PM stating he offered you more. If I believe the guy, I'll offer 1.2K per troop.

I just had a unnamed secret bidder on the telephone who informed me he wanted to bid 10k per troop.  He wants his name secret and it totally isn't me just trying to jack up my own price.

Nobody forces you to do anything. You can just ignore this thread and leave. If I have a bidder he will get his troops for 1k as promised, if I'm lying I wont get anything, simple.

Edit: Bid is 1.3k per troop.

True, but when it stops someone from bidding 20% higher than your highest bid, I think I'd be motivated to release the name of my highest bidder. I'll do an extra 10% if you can give me his name or have him pm me.

I am sorry to inform you that there is a certain flaw in your calculations. Not the math itself, but the concept behind it instead.

You see, in Strategus, you are passively earning Strategus Troops/Gold every hour. While in cRPG itself, you have to make yourself active to get at least an average of x2 or higher multipliers for the duration of that hour.

Why, you could just have your Strategus character sit in a village having 90%+ of chance to recruit 1 troop while doing something else other than playing cRPG (Which is what I'm doing right now).

So, is there a reason why such passive gain would require an enormous amount of active playing in cRPG to substantiate the cost of Strategus troops?
