Title: Power throw and WPF help please
Post by: Vieuxcrotter on July 14, 2011, 07:11:40 am
Can someone explain how much WPF you need per power throw pts?

Right now i got a build that is level 20 with 2 point in power throw and 50 wpf
And it give me the message that my score in wpf isnt high enough.

My weight is 18 - 50 = 32
I thought it was 14 or 16 wpf per power throw pts.
Is my weapon weight and throwing weapon weight also reduce my overall wpf?

Can someone explain please?

Thirteen per power throw. Remember that armour lowers wpf (last I checked about 1% per weight unit above 7, double weight for gauntlets and tripple for helmet, only armour. Weapons only subtract from running for weight)

Yeah i know that head armor(x3), glove(x2) ,boots(x1) and armor(x1) reduce your wpf

My total weight is 18 right now and i got 50 pts of wpf in throwing = 32
with 2 points in power throw i get the message that my wpf isnt high enough. Is there a bug?

it means you cannot pickup ammo from the ground mate :(

i was going for 14WPF per PT, and with 9PT and 126wpf, i use studded leather, mail mittens, mail coif and mail boots and no message appeared for me, tho when i wore heraldic, i got it :P

also was able to pickup any throwable stuff from the ground...you can do with less wpf ofcourse, but you wont be able to recollect ammo and i think i saw somewhere that you got increased chance for the items breaking if u dont have enough wpf, but i just made a post to clarify if that is still valid

I think your weapon weight also counts? Did you factor that in?

And yeah, insufficient WPF means reduced PT, inability to pick up ammo and increased break chance.

Weight is not a linear take away from WPF, it is a formula, right?
I think you're doing it wrong. Just use less and less armor until message disappears.

Yeah, I'm not sure what the system for WPF loss from weight is, exactly, but I'm pretty sure you're underestimating how much you're down by.

I remember reading sub-50 wpf isn't even counted.

Calculating minimum throwing wpf with armor penalty is rocket science.

Nah. Avatar, sig and personal text all refer to the same thing, and it isn't WoW. :P
