Title: What happened to my character?!

I was playing on EU1 when the game closed and I got this error message. What the hell is this shit? When I go to the cRPG website my character is gone, along with all my heirlooms?!

I'm too scared to play with my main, losing 11 gens would be too harsh. I think I'll save it for strategus.

Except in the TW series, the game is about running an empire. Every time you have a new ruler you game doesn't start over with 1 province.

Forcing people to level 1 is stupid.

It's totally unfair. If there was no control about levelling 30+, why punish players that grinded their chars? If there wasn't rule, why punish now? Just 1000+ hours of playing direct to garbage. One way is forcing you to retire, other is deleting your char?

I suppose it's a temporal bad joke.

I understand making you retire your charactor (maybe he/she is too old to contiue fighting?), but to wipe out someones hard work alltogether seems a little harsh

I have always been one of those people who didn't play so I could reach lvl31 and retire. Why cant you just make it optional to stay as lvl31 forever? Or gain lvls but dont gain any wpf, skill and attributes if you desire? This is insane.
