Specced for 20 minutes. He's a peasant with either a stick or an axe. Clear autoblocking, blocks are always at the last possible second, blocked 3 hits in less than a second, easily blocked attacks from 2-3 attackers at the same time.
Screenshots at this point are useless, other players on the server will give in their inputs (A_BEAR_IRL, racecar, etc).
I recommend a permban for our zero tolerance policy, but since I don't have FRAPS installed I couldn't record evidence so possibly a 3-7 day ban could do.

He's not new to the game and it's really easy to block if that's all you are trying to do. It's not like you block slower when you are a peasant.
While I'm sure he appreciates the compliment, he doesn't cheat.

I've been playing for a fairly long time (my previous character was PaulRinter. Before that, I was Smitheo, and before that I was Vodner).
I frequent the duel server fairly often, and I don't block any better than most of the people in there. It's also fairly obvious that I'm not auto-blocking, due to my high sensitivity. My entire character visibly turns every time I block.
-
I'm not the greatest or most experienced but I felt like the guy was autoblocking after fighting him maybe twice, he had no real offense (he blocked maybe 10 of my attacks and tried 1) but blocked perfectly, all of his blocks were "late" after a feint (as in, isn't holding any block until the instant my sword would connect).
I've fought some of the better players on duel a decent amount (Leonidas, Cyranule, Galgorth, etc) and his blocks seemed to behave completely different from what I'm used to.

I'm level 5. Most of my attacks whiff and get my killed.
At the moment, all I can do is tie up an attacker in hopes that somebody else can come up behind and kill him.

i calls em like i sees em mang
-
He probably wasn't attacking because he was using a cudgel.
You would be surprised how easy it is to block when you aren't worried about counter-attacking.
-
Let's not get into an argument here. Both your positions are clear. Let's wait for a little more feedback and see how it goes.
-
If he was auto-blocking that would have been picked up by the almighty chadz, right?
-
The Autoblocker I ran into (we have fraps of it) blocked really early. Almost predicting blocks. It would change its direction based on the person closest but also change along with the people behind. It could block 3 people swinging at the exact same time. I think sphinx has a video of it if you want to compare.
-
Like Earthforce said, he would have been spotted and have his account deleted/banned. This said though, new programs can be used, or clean up hasnt been done yet...
-
I'd love to have a link to that video so I can compare while the memory is still fresh. I'll then be able to confirm the unban request.
-
I don't know about you guys, but when it comes to something serious like auto blocking I think letting a dev know and not the person you think is hacking so they can confirm/deny it. As in, don't alert the potential hacker :D
Lorden, did SaulCanner seriously not get hit once (from an attack he could have possibly blocked) during the 20 minutes you spectated him?
-
He got hit when he turned around. Frontal attacks however he blocked all at the last possible moment, multiple attacks per second, never blocking in the wrong direction.

I died several times from frontal attacks. Cascade killed me by feinting me out at least twice, and racecar slashed me to death (1v1) immediately before I was banned. The majority of my opponents either didn't feint, feinted poorly, or feinted with horribly slow weapons such as the flamberge.
-
Nothing against Lorden's judgement, but such an important matter should always be recorded with fraps and brought to dev and they would take the necessary actions, if they judge them needed. Without video, it is very, very hard to punish / judge such accusations :X Bear with us Vodner, a decision will quickly be made, sorry about the inconvenience.
-
For lack of hard evidence, I recommend lifting the ban.
Note to self: Get FRAPS asap
-
Just confirming that I did kill him with a frontal attack in a 1v1 fight near the flag about 40 seconds before he was banned.
EDIT: Maybe I should clarify: We've been playing this game together for months, and other games for years. As much as it would make me feel better about my own skill level; he doesn't cheat.
-
Well you can kill him if he attacks. Autoblock does not kick in if you're in the middle of swinging. The guy we caught with autoblock was terrible (8-12 record) because he would block then try to swing and then get sidestepped or feinted out.
The thing about your average hacker is they're generally terrible players who crutch on their hack instead of developing skills.
Now when good players hack that's when its really hard to detect and what breaks games.
Anyhow get fraps Lorden next time and/or have a 2nd admin confirm if possible.

If it would help, after work I could Fraps myself dueling in the GK duel server (native - my character is still too low level to duel effectively in CRPG).
-
That would only be helpful if you have the exact same dueling style on native that I witnessed on cRPG. But sure, I'll compare.

I'll look into it
