Diablo 2 gets a 10/10 from me when I played it. Not sure how well it would hold up now but in it's time it was absolutely top notch. Had lvl 80+ barbarian, sorceress and paladin.
It's alright. Animations are fine and graphics are good with resolution and widescreen mods. First Diablo game, however, replayed it four years ago, now that's hard to swallow because it is four directions plus diagonal movement and animations are pretty rough. Once you get over that, it is still a great game.
Diablo II mods make the game much better.
Back in the day, like two decades ago I was kinda pissed when Diablo II came out because of constant respawn of enemies which was not a thing in the first game. Later I started to appreciate the concept and grinding of levels. Diablo III I was given beta access and played it for 45 minutes. Never touched it since that beta. Remember there was no skill tree and I was disappointed.
Edit: Actually, not even sure there is diagonal movement in the first Diablo lol
