Rap and metal should not be mixed together. Just like deathmetal shouldn't be mixed with hardcore. Imagine you have perfectly good bottle of 12 years old scotch whiskey and a can of Battery. You like both drinks separately. You love the taste of that whiskey and you enjoy that energy drink sometimes. But you sure as hell aren't going to mix that scotch with that energy drink because then both drinks are spoiled?

Well thats 1 way to look at it, but u might like both drinks. But its like they miss the last touch. Adding them together doesnt ruin em, but makes it taste even better. U are getting the best from both worlds, and it just fits together.

Im just saying this, because there is different ways to look at it. U cant rly discuss what's good music and what isent. Its a personal opinion, not facts.

That's one way to do it but what if someone throws their shitty music in front of you and says yours is shit? You want to tell them they are wrong, right?

I just say I dont like the music, and nobody really tells me my music taste is shit so I dont know

Yeah but I, as a guitar player and a song writer, see it as a challenge if someone like benkei states that "this is the only Swedish band worth mentioning" and then disrespects my Swedish band of choice. I never said a bad word about his link before he said Amon Amarth is not talented, double bass MAINSTREAM metal (can't laugh enough for that accusation). And I could link couple bands more that are worth mentioning. Swedes have some other good music too ;)

Swedes have amazing music. Gothenburg spits out awesome groups and musicians faster than Eifjallajökull spat ash clouds that one time, effectively shutting down Europe.

I said - and I stand to it - they are nothing special. Just another metal band... Nothing about their talent. Just another band using an old recipe to make metal. That is my opinion and I stand to it - doesn't matter if anyone likes it or not.

Besides, taking every statement serious in the internet and esspecially in this pile of crap called forum is kinda stupid and you should probably rethink that attitude. Just saying...

I made a post specially to answer Bagge's electro-beat-thingy he posted and said "Only swedish band worth mentioning" which was obviously exaggerated to make a point. Then you posted a video and I stated my opinion.

But I don't see a point in discussing this any further. This is enemy territory anyway. Can't get possibly any closer to a ban than having an argument in this thread, I guess

Actually, I understood it very well. It's just that using the term in a derogatory fashion (nothing wrong with that) after the Slipknot example didn't make much sense. It's like if I said:

Well, Justin Bieber calling XYZ one of his main influences and giving them props for being even great musicians with hardly reached skill on their instruments in the genre... Yea, they are totally "emo screamo sounding". As one of the oldest and most beloved Hardcore bands in Europe, I am sure they suck compared to... what was their name again? You know, that mainstream pop boyband you were talking about...
