Cost of being a tank

So was this patch meant to punish those of us who don't sit in sniper nests safe from deaths?

There is no possible way for me to afford continuing to be a tank/front line breaker which effectively makes my character garbage

awesome

If it makes you feel any better the only way archer will stay competitve seems to be when all the tin cans run out of money ... otherwise arrows now bounce off shiny things. =P

I would counsel patience, I think the mod is going through birthing pains from the patch.  Let's wait and see.

lol i have some fear but once every ones nude or never uses plate armor just remove the plate?
The purpose of wearing plate has become nothing more than crippling yourself to look like a knight... or maybe its my lack of athletics

To be fair, that's only half right. Wallace uses a War Cleaver.

Giving the lower levels/new players a chance, that's fantastic. I really do like  that.

However, making it impossible for people to have gear above or other than a Tunic over mail, a nordic sword, and a nordic shield unless you're a MERCENARY is just plain cruel.

The idea for fief owners to get more money is somewhat nice, making it more realistic. It will also drive these clanless players who want armies of 5k on strategus into clans, which is good as well. However, for those who don't want to join clans, this is just no fun.

And a few other things which I'm not in the mood to think of right now.

What Reinhart says looks true. I dont play strategus (was considering looking for a clan sometime in the future) just crpg so this makes it look like playing will actually cost gold. At what gear level does it actually cost less gold in upkeep than what you are winning? Anyone know the magic gear combo to actually make money yet?

Also, is the idea that you have to play strategus to make money now? *confused*

So the only way to tank anymore is based on skill.  Whelp there goes half the servers.
