« on: March 05, 2014, 11:45:43 am »Laptops, especially gaming laptops (or regular laptops forced into slave labor as gaming laptops) are prone to overheating. Even high end models can get too hot to touch just from charging the battery and streaming video. Laptop coolers with fans don't really help much. Placing it on stone or metal tile can actually help more than an expensive laptop cooler accessory.
Be careful when you open it to remove dust. Air duster will clean out nooks and crannies without damaging the guts, but if it's still under warranty opening anything but the RAM/HD/disc drive slots may void it.
What are the specs on your laptop?
