Isn't cataphract just greek for armour? So wouldn't that make katafraktoi armour be "armour armour"?

I do that fairly often, yet to see one in the great Norwegian outback. Spent a few days in the Swedish desert recently, saw none there either. Have yet to even see a common nig... Africanus Scandinavius, except in "urban" settings.
