We finished the last game finally on Saturday. Players were:

Me: León
Arn: Sweden
Kiddius: Champagne->France
Avenge: Teutonic Order->Prussia->Rage quit
Grandmom: Florence->Tuscany->Italy
Blackbird: Bohemia->Poland->Great Moravia->Rage quit
Overlord: Byzantium

With the summer holidays, and people faking real life the game took forever, but in the end after multiple backstabs and secret alliances Sweden won by score and was also the largest power in the world. Next in score were Italy and Byzantium. France got ganked in the end by Leon, Italy and Sweden, Moravia and Egypt which made me very happy after losing the game to a similar gank by Italy, Sweden, England and Byzantium :)

I had night turned off most quite a bit of my crpg time, and I have no regrets about it. It strained your eyes and had a lot of people quitting when it appeared, harming the server population. My lobbying for its removal, as it only deteriorated the gameplay, was unfortunately unsuccessful.

Still this should not be a case where you and some other people decide that YOU are allowed to cheat. I'm all for removing night time as it brings nothing to the game, but as long as it's a thing it should be there for everyone. Disabling shadows shouldn't be allowed either and I really hope they force this stuff on in OKAM or any other future game of this sort..

I even feel a bit ashamed for not having grass on, but it looks like shit in crpg so I have it disabled... Realistic textures pack + night + rain + shadows = pretty much invisible dark weapons. Thank god there's always spam to help me out so I don't have to start cheating....

AGI is significantly stronger in terms of an actual fight due to the fact they can swing faster than the speed of sound and pick you off before you even have a chance to do anything, not to mention an agiwhore quarterstaff build, I could pick people off ONLY pressing the left click button and they couldn't do anything to stop me, literally just mashing left click and pulling into my swings and I was unstoppable in a 1/2v1 fight situation. STR is definitely strong but I think in terms of actual fighting AGI is easily the stronger attribute.

Go to EU3 and try your "just left click" tactic against any decent player and you'll see it won't work. Most good melee players in this mod use strength heavy builds and have been using them since forever. Spamwhore, Kiddius, GTX, Atze, Varadin etc are all 24str or more afaik. As Gravoth said, agi can be more fun as it allows you to do some crazy moves, but that doesn't make it better.

Just reverting archery won't fix the problem in any way. They were already overpowered and easy to play before the patch and the huge damage against cavalry is a problem that needs to be solved. We need to move from the Tydeus -era "everything should beat everything" balancing to a more "rock-paper-scissors" approach that would make every class strong but have their weaknesses. Not sure how to implement this, but buffing heavy cavalry against ranged would be a big start and making throwers a more cavalry killing force like it used to be with one-hitting jarids before the speedbonus was nerfed couple of years ago...

We had a routing issue with the old server as well and looks like something similar again, just this time it's effecting the polish players and no one else?

Ping statistics for 176.57.143.15:
    Packets: Sent = 100, Received = 100, Lost = 0 (0% loss),
Approximate round trip times in milli-seconds:
    Minimum = 42ms, Maximum = 81ms, Average = 43ms

No problems from northern Finland and lags in crpg are very rare.

We know and that's the worst part. But that was like four weeks ago. Now our rosters are gone as expected, which means we cannot fight even with decent gear. We weren't able to fix the economy because some clans on our side don't agree with math or are too disorganized to fix stuff even when they do.

This battle in particular was a mess . They had better gear . Same amount of people . More tickets. No tactic. We were holding the hill and they were rushing us (from the left , right , middle  so unorganized) and getting pewpewd. In the ts we were like "why are they not pushing to the flags.  "

First one we couldn't build forward spawn due to construction sites not showing up because of some sort of bug with the ranks. We still managed to build a FS with sites that you guys wasted from the city. The second one, we did make a mistake in the tactics for sure and we talked about it a lot afterwards. You did however have a stronger roster for that one as well, like you've had for the last few weeks. Your players are just better than ours so it's really hard to compete with that.

I think the templars have appreciated your alliance when you send out your best army  to help them, oh wait...

Not only did we send them our best and only army on Overlord, we also gave them all of our gear from the villages to help them out. Arn was in the desert helping out as well, but it all fell apart rather quickly so we pulled back with the templars. I'm pretty sure they have no complaints about our support in that war or since.

No UIF on their side shows quite clearly your hostility towards them though. No? Whatever the real reason was, that was the first time anyone talked to us about a anti-uif -coalition. In the beginning as Arn said we thought you might even need some help to stay alive against the Templars, but instead of doing what we did and play as a small faction just for fun you decided to go full tryhard megablob once again. Boring boring.
