Beginner's Help and Guides / weapon length and speed reduction

Hello
I was reading the forums, planning my peasant build and i read that in order to be fast you should not be heavier than 6.3 kgs. But then i heard that weapon length is also a factor and i got depressed fast.
My questions are:
is the 6.3 weigth treshhold true?
and
by what ammount is your speed reduced depending on your weapon length?

Beginner's Help and Guides / 2H spammer or polearm spammer?

Some polearms are comparable with 2H swords damage and attack rating wise, so in theory a polearm spammer should keep up with a 2H one, but i have a gut feeling im wrong.
Please advise.
