Pretty hyped. The last one was a lot of fun. Hoping they improve the multiplayer in this one and add some depth to make it playable long term.

I don't think they have said that it isn't eventually coming to PC but I don't think its planned for PC at launch.

It'll be for PC in a few years when they make a "next-gen" version for yet another upgraded PS4 and xbox

How else is Rockstar going to be able to sell the game 3 times to the same person?

To be honest, the fact it's releasing this year pleases me enough.

There isnt any guarantee really. The first one was talked about coming to PC years and years and it just never came. Giving it a PC port would have been a pretty logical move. But they never made it. Who can say why. Think RdR is going to be a console series, like God of War or Uncharted. I generally have a feeling like Rockstar has some legitimate beef with the PC platform, it seems to try so hard to avoid it if possible.

I really hope they have added to the multiplayer open world aspect of Red Dead. I'll be playing on PS4 for sure at launch got it pre-ordered.

They can't deal with trainers / hackers in GTA 5 on PC, they're too dumb to separate the Multiplayer client from the SP.

Afaik, their general resentment towards PC started long before GTA5. I think they legimately didnt give a crap about the hackers in PC GTA5. They did some stuff for PR purposes, but didnt consider it worthy to throw enough money at.

Does seem like a weird choice to release a game only on consoles. Must be a lot of work for them to port it to PC I guess.

They do care about it in GTA5 as PC players can just use it to get millions of dollars so they won't have to buy shark cards etc, there's a reason they'd ban you even if you had a mod that made your phone look different. They've also gone over huge amount of users and looked at their "income" and if they think you got them via non legit means they'll remove some of your cash, I got 4 irl friends who lost about 15 mill each due to it.

That sounds a lot like some cheap terrible system, exactly designed by people who dont give a shit. Personally I havent played GTAs, besides SAMP, online. Because they are and always will be hackerfilled messes. And now that Rockstars just randomly fucking players in the arse aswell, I have even less willingness to try it. SPs dope doe.

i have indeed not and i was mad about that never coming to the computing-box system too. this must be karma for pirating my very first game off limewire at age 11; it was GTA 3 and functional without viruses but exclusively in French language

Honestly the original read dead made having a console worth it by itself. Excellent game. I've actually really become quite a fan of consoles this generation. Play a fair bit of NHL and BF1 on ps4.

I just recently yielded and got a PS4 aswell. Indeed this console generations PS exclusives in general seem very good and forced even a dedicated PCboi like myself to give in. Xbox is pretty much in the dirt currently and learning the hard lesson of nobody cares about the cool hardware of your xbone, a console is only as good as its games and currently even Switch is kicking its arse. It looks like that after decades of close competition and debates, this gens console war has a pretty obvious winner.

Consoles are gay as fuck, holding back game progress by so much with these 10 year old console generations. RDD2 could be really good if it weren't held back by two decades old technology. Now, alas................. it will be doomed to be bad.

What, did I miss something? was it officially confirmed there will be no PC release?. I assumed if there was a PC release it would come later than the console release anyway, so they wouldn't mention a PC release date yet even if they were working on it. Unless they have openly said "No PC release" and I have missed it

Same old story, so called PC gamers crying over console exclusives. While five or ten years ago that had some merit because PC gaming was on the rise, these days is stale as fuck. Best PC games are some dumb battle royale crapshits only autist morons care about aka PC gamers. Valve is still selling same games over and over again to new bunch of idiots. They haven't created a game in well over a decade and people still give them the money lol

Consoles are the only place where you get quality single player experience these days, Windows gamers seem to prefer endless grind in meaningless modern online RPGs (that have nothing to do with actual RPGs of old).

Switch is entirely different beast, I plan to get it for a nephew for his next birthday. Might even toy with it a bit myself but will probably get bored fast (haven't seen exciting video game in well over 5 years that will make me play it). Think that I'll expose him and my future kids to Nintendo at first, just like I was exposed to SNES, Gameboy and Sega Drive when I was a kid. PC games came later but I was lucky to fit right into golden age of Windows gaming which will probably never happen again. Getting kid to play these moronic games that rule PC realm these days is sure way to create an idiot out of him/her. When I was 13-14 I played Age of Empires and Deus Ex, they play fucking Fortnite.

You seem to have a serious beef with PC because of the recent battle royale fad. You do realise a lot of very solid games(superior to even your golden ages games) have come out, if u just look under the current fads shadow right? Id say 4x strategy games that are coming out are pretty solid recently, each better than the last. Oldschool pixelated very deep RPGs. Id rate MOBAs actually pretty high here aswell. I really wouldnt count Dota as a game for idiots. Id rate it as a very thought demanding game. As I understand your personal beef with mobas is that u know people personally who do nothing but play it and are still morons. But thats the case with everything tbh, you could do nothing but play chess your whole life, u still a useless to the society moron. But yeah traditional RTS-s, like SC or AoE and rpgs like Deus ex are dead af. Probably just accept it, visit the grave sometimes and pick another favorite genre. Otherwise you will be unreasonably bitter forever....

Original Deus Ex is still better than most PC games, way better than other games in the series. But it didn't age that well animation and graphics wise. What I'm trying to say that Deus Ex was groundbreaking in 2000. and there hasn't been a single groundbreaking game in last half a decade.

If you ask me gaming went downhill with World of Warcraft, that is what brought most idiots into gaming and enabled shit games that come out today.

Well yeah. As we keep breaking more ground, inevitably the ground will just run out at some point. The scale and the sheer perfection a game should be, to be considered groundbreaking these days is so absurd, that its not even worth making. From what im gathering making games is not very profitable and being a game dev is a totally shitty and unstable job.

These kind of videos are the worst that Youtube has to offer. 7-15 minute long videos with ages old footage and old information spoken s-l-o-w-l-y, with 95% filler and 5% actual information.

What's most amazing is that there are hundreds of these channels and somehow they manage to get views, despite everyone hating them.

Single player 9/10

Multiplayer very underwhelming 4/10

Haven't played it in a while though maybe they have added to it in the last 6 months.

They added the "professions" recently, I've only done Bounty Hunter as collector seems like a big fucking pain in the ass especially since the servers are so unstable, average session I dc 5 times lol. It's ok, not a lot to do in online tbh. Wish they added a wave defense mode like in GTA so I can do it with my brother.

How are the online servers on PC compared to PS4? Even having wired connection I dc'd several times. Today I had over 10 dcs, most of them on joining a new session.
