everyone misses the old times, crpg has been chasing the dragon since 2013, that's 4 years straight of pure unbelievable fuckups. even if we went back to 2012 ( not just the combat system but everything, armor\weapon values, wpf, high levels, ladders, turn rate nerf etc etc )
even if we went back I doubt we will ever see 100 players on battle again, those days are gone, the damage has been done.
nearly every patch that has come out post 2013 is just a bandaid \ game of playing catch up, fixing last patches mistakes.
its funny that people are playing right now, I hear wse2\launcher was broken...well I never used wse2, my launcher worked fine. so absolutely nothing has changed for me EXCEPT, I no longer get to play DTV, which is now (among a large list of things) broken.
besides, haven't you heard? a revert would be pointless anyway because: no one left because its broken, shits just clearly old and old things are very boring, and no one wants to play old boring things, and its not like its getting any younger right molly?
TLDR
optimistically crpg is only 1-2 patches away from its golden days so hang in there
realistically, knowing that every patch aims to fix one thing but breaks two more...we have about, 50...million more patches togo.

Both NA and China are nearing 70 players online multiple nights a week. WSE2 is working in NA and EU but has not been added yet to China.
Honestly with some good patches I think we could easily see 100 players again. You should really try playing the game plumbo.

We could pretty easily get back to the days of 100~ people online at NA prime time. Already it's 60~ every night and that's with multiple things in game broken, no new patch for months and Strategus not working.

60 huh, that's still 40 off, don't get me wrong we have not had 30 vs 30 consistently for quite some time, and id love to swallow my words on this one.
prove me wrong, we all know changes need to be made, and changes are coming.
but statistically patches ...well, they terrify me in ways no in game player can.

Eu is dead af, so ive been playing some native recently. Gotta say, if the revert actually happens then its going to be sick. Its fun when everything is really strong, yes even archery and xbows.

i wandered into the server last night at half past midnight and was greeted by 65 other nerds- can't imagine that a relatively late sunday night is to be "prime time"
i could see more people coming in

I dont see the problem, if we start playing again, people will come back. I see crpg players lurking around in other mods.

Yeah the server was up over 65 again last night before I headed off to bed. Old players coming back and new players trying the mod for the first time. Great to see.

Don't have an ETA on that yet. Fixing the compiler so that we can put out patches will come first. Then I expect strat will come after that. We need patches to increase mod population before strategus comes back.

I totally agree + chinese Strat. I like hardcore ping playing. :D

There has been some talk of a merged strat map. Could be good to have all players on one strat map and have battles occur on the server of the defending side.
Would help to have all the population of CHN, NA and EU together.
