Title: Siege Map Submissions for official servers 2.0

You made a siege map and would like to see it on the official EU and NA servers? This is the place to submit it.

There are some basic rules if you want your map to be considered:
Maps will be added in packs rather then one by one, so it might be a while until your map is added. You might also be requested to do some adjustements, ranging from balancing changes to bugfixing.

Edit(Fips): I have looked through the old thread and got a hold on the maps that i would like to see added back in again. For the sake of a better overview/organization in the forum/thread. And of course, renown-whoring.
Will do the same with battle submissions later on.
PS: Let's keep this thread clean please. Feedback belongs to the map threads.

Himmelsberg Monastery Update 7/22/2013

- Removed doors on sanctuary.
- Widened attacker spawn bridge to hopefully fix issues there.
- Added roof (with small opening) to sanctuary.

RHODOK CLIFFSIDE CASTLE, siege map. (Updated 22/08/2013)

-Added a walkway to the flag.
-Added a ladder to access the roof on small houses (campable place for archers).
-Removed some props, and LOTS of glitchy bushes and flora.
-Added some detail objects.

Himmelsberg Monastery Update 7/29/2013

- Moved attacker spawns back about 30 ft to the land area before the bridge to hopefully avoid people falling to their deaths from bridge spawns :(
- Added destructable door to sanctuary that opens inward (defense can open).

Devonshire Keep Update 7/31/2013

- Added balista (1) for defense 
- Added archer platforms for defense in flag area
(Fips if you wanna check that to make sure I didn't do anything stupid with the balista that would be good :) )

Rochester Castle Update 8/1/2013

- Addition of balistas (2).  One 360 degree near siege tower landing (can then be used by offense to aim at flag area), one at flag area that can aim at back door area.
(Fips if you wanna check that to make sure I didn't do anything stupid with the balista that would be good :) )

Windfall Castle, updated the map by removing the three portcullis I had and just kept one and removed thw inch and put it back in just in case.

Windsore Castle, updated the map by adding a destructible gate on the right front walls. Made the siege tower closer, added a another stairwell closer to the flag, and made spawns much better for Defense.

I'm wondering if I should put a door back in place on the steps where I previously had it before I was told to remove it?

Btw, the glowing objects you see, are accualy collourfull dyes. The detail of fishes in the bucket was stolen from Obitus.  :twisted:

New Map!


Dun Bhirum v1.0


Dun Bhirum is a town built into the ruins of an old castle, set in a pine forested area. 
The flow of battle is inspired by the popular "Sea Raid" siege map - attackers spawn and can go left or right to attack destructable doors which give them access to a courtyard.  One side is a shorter run with 2 doors and the other side is a longer run with 1 door.

Once inside the courtyard they must fight defenders over the gate winch.  If the main gate is opened, attackers gain a quick and straight run from attacker spawn right through the gate, through another open gateway, and into the flag courtyard. 

The flag courtyard offers limited defenses, basically just a raised flag platform that defense could try to hold attackers off from. 

There is also a back route which is quite a run - it involves hoisting a ladder over the walls, dropping down and then destroying a door near the flag, then hoisting another small ladder to gain access to the flag area.

Dun Bhirum V 1.1
11/25/2013

- Raised walls all around to avoid jumping over.
- Moved most defense spawns away from flag area : we'll see if that works.
- Changed back route for attackers to bring them into the second courtyard area, not behind the flag.
- Added a chokepoint at the second (open) gate.
- Added more items, etc in the flag area.
- Added a stage area around the flag.

Keep me posted, if the defense still spawns all around the flag all the time I will move any remaining (only 1 now) spawns out of the flag area.

Flag is under the castle in the dungeon. There are multiple paths to the flag (about 5 or 6 possibilities, and 3 optimal routes IMO). The shortest path is through the gatehouse, so raising the portcullis and keeping it raised is probably the most likely way for attackers to win.

Irongron Castle

There are a couple different paths to the flag and 4 different ladders to get onto the walls. No siege tower. Trying something different here. If it's too unbalanced without one, I'll add it in. Average time to flag.... dunno. =P
